Personally I would not mess about over £5m as we missed the boat with Keane last season and I think Gibson and Maguire are the best UK centre half available that we could attract

He would rip up that league, under Slutsky, and hopefully prove himself. Give them an option to purchase at the end of the loan deal, them to pay 60% of his wage this season.

Every club will then shaft us because we will be known as an easy touch. Then what would happen? Everyone blames Rudkin for paying too much. Its not football manager this is real money .

Nailing down what we presume is a top, first choice target in a key position we need to strengthen by mid June would be great to see.

FoxinNotts Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I'd Be happy with Maguire, but not just Maguire. If we went for him, we'd need another high quality Centre mid. Whereas imo if we went for Mbodji or Acerbi, we could get away with the cover we have (Morgan, Huth and Benny), bearing in mind we don't have Europe this season. Keeping 5 centre backs happy won't be easy. I personally would like to retain Morgan and Huth.
