Bournemouth (H) Match Day Post Match Thread 1 - 1

We are a strange lot a bad league season and finished 12th, forget ifs and buts  just 2 poor refereeing decisions in the last week has cost us 8th place. People calling Shakey for not playing Wasy but then demanding he went for the win. One minute people call him a soft touch and over friendly with the players then he is a proper b#####rd for not bringing on Wasy. Our CL campaign will live in the memory forever but it is hard to say how much that took out of us. Look at Spurs they have had a cracking season yet failed in 2 European competitions so without a European adventure next season we can look to move up the table and maybe challenge for a cup. Last summer the club was damned whatever they did, Kante was not going to stay and we can see why and we paid top dollar to keep our league winning team on better contracts. We spent over £80 million on bringing in new players and had owners with the courage to sack our greatest ever manager to worldwide condemnation and brand image damage.

As an old timer think we need to get behind the owners and trust them with what they do this summer and whoever the appoint and bring in or sell and if players do not to be here, whoever they are it is time to move them on but on our terms. Players have had a season here to settle and we can look to build. We also missed Morgan and Huth and with DD had a big hole ripped from the spine of the team. Up the Foxes

Shakey, three options:

1) Give him the job

2) Bring in someone else, with Shakey as his Assistant

3) Get rid

I think he would only accept (1).

Watching Sky with Chelsea on............ It's making me very sad.

I have a feeling I will never see 2016 repeated unless I just sit and watch the DVD.

In fact I feel a little sick

not sure Shakey as his Assistant is an option after what happened with CR. Not many managers with want a bloke that has a good rapport and been manager as assistant.

Of course we won't.  Just be grateful that it happened it all.  It really should never happen to Leicester.

I thought Slim was pretty good, all things considered.. worked well with Vardy too...

I think his rustiness was clear as he would have buried that chance earlier in the season. He worked pretty hard and had a nice assist. First half was poor but the whole team was on the beach.

I'm sure he'll get slaughtered on here at some point tonight though.

It probably won't for the foreseeable future, but things can change in football- you never know, it might become more of a level playing field again in the future.

Still, we have the memories- I grew up in the knowledge that it would never happen to us.

The FA Cup, on the other hand- we will get our hands on it at some point, so we've got that to look forward to!

That's because he was a complete shit, lazy bastard

What's the point saying it in here? You would be more effective saying it to his face  :pearson:

Talking to all the reactionary people, especially in the match thread, that seem to have turned on Shakes when we owe him big time.

Definitely not one comment and who said that it was me vs everybody else?  Strange comment.

Guess I'm just a strange person. Thanks for your opinion though.

The John Terry show is on over at SSN

It actually was pretty emotional. You can tell he loves the club, nice to see.

Neither did I but not sure what that has to do with Terry leaving?

Glad it's over.

That was our season in 90 minutes.

Started badly, didn't improve until after halfway, rallied and then fell away at the end.

Left me disappointed and frustrated.
