Goal ratio for Manchester City: 1 goal per 99,9 minutes

Goal + assist ratio for Manchester City: 1 goal or assist per 72,3 minutes

If true then there should be some noticeable drop-off in his goals ratio when playing for other teams... lets see...

Goal ratio for Nigeria NT: 1 goal per 116,5 minutes

Goal + assist ratio for Nigeria NT: 1 goal or assist per 77,8 minutes

Goal ratio for the Man City EDS: 1 goal per 133 minutes

Goal + assist ration for the Man City EDS: 1 goal or assist per 66,5 minutes

(Not to mention 6 goals and 7 assists in 7 games at the U17 World Cup)

No. No drop-off.

So maybe he performs worse against top opponents in the Champions League?

Goal ratio for Man City in Champions League: 1 goal per 87 minutes

The only thing that becomes so apparent is that he's been consistently scoring goals no matter the competition or what team he plays on.

Also: If its all down to his teammates then how come no one else ever came close to his stats save for Aguero, the second most prolific striker in EPL history (behind Iheanacho)?

Sergio Aguero: 1 goal per 110,7 minutes

Edin Dzeko: 1 goal per 158 minutes

Stevan Jovetic: 1 goal per 169 minutes

Wilfried Bony: 1 goal per 181,9 minutes

Leroy Sane: 1 goal per 289 minutes

Raheem Sterling: 1 goal per 314,7 minutes

Still no...

You could say Gabriel Jesus is close, but we'll see if he keeps up the consistency of Iheanacho over 2100 minutes (as compared to 740 Gabriel Jesus has played so far):

1 goal per 105,9 minutes

---

One last thing: To disprove your theory that its thanks to his teammates. Kelechi Iheanacho does not score because he has many scoring opportunities, but because his conversion rate was the highest in Europe's top leagues (for example in 2015/2016). His 12 league goals came from 19 shots on target.

Well done marutimon. Brilliant bit of work. This signing just gets better and better.

Is it just me or is everyone getting a bit carried away with this best goals to game ratio that he has. It is impressive but the guy played for man city. Man city the team with about 200mil worth of talent in midfield with the likes of silva, de bruyne and yaya. No doubt its gonna be much easier for someone to just score the goals with the amount of chances they create

It's a fair point. His goals per minute ratio is astonishing. But what lead to those goals? And do we - or will we - have the same supply in service here?

Impressive that - your research and iheanacho's impact.

If only Gray could take such stats into any talks with the manager....

I just hope he reads them and understands where he's at and where he needs to get in contributive terms.

bloody hell well done top post.

There is a point about his game time. It's generally been against weaker opposition or coming on late when they are chasing a game or playing out a comfortable victory. The latter bound to lead to clearer opportunities. The former similar if you are citeh. Seems we will find out over the next couple months!

Posted

I would only note that Iheanacho would be coming here after a period of his worst football. His first touch has gone, even his finishing seems more rushed. Its hard to be certain, but the few times he got a chance to play he wasn't given much of a run and Pep preferred playing Nolito over him. So it should be just a confidence issue and he will go back to churning out similar numbers for Leicester.

Until he's holding a Leicester Shirt and smiling for the cameras... I just can't believe its a done deal! The longer it takes for it to be announced, the more I worry about the move being Hijacked by another club!

The club need to announce the deal, or at least tell us when we can expect him for a medical? Its nervy waiting.

I'm not 100% on it because the wage he got with his new contract at City was apparently £50,000/w. And we were meant to have doubled his wages. Whether we've negotiated it to below £100k/w I'm not sure.

Rudkin: Aaaannnnnd just sign here, yes, that's it great. Welcome to Leicester City Kelechi.

Kelechi: Brilliant, I'm so excited, I can't wait to play for this wonderful football club. Thanks for making it happen Rudders, it's been so easy and smooth going thanks to you.

Rudkin: No problem my friend. Go home and get your things together say your goodbyes and we'll see you some time next week.

Kelechi: What about the announcement? The photo Shoot?

Rudkin: Hold your horses young man. Those wankers on foxestalk give me so much shit, thread after thread of bullshit about how crap I am at my job I like to make them wait a couple of weeks, leak a few rumours about west ham hijacking the bid, release clause ect. It's comedy gold reading the meltdowns after meltdown.

Both: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

You missed out the bits where Rudkin hasn't got a single pen in the entire training ground so we can't sign him and where they agree the release fee of a Freddo.

Nampalys Mendy: The 13 Million Pound Man

lol that just made me think.

1970s $6,000,000 creates a human being beyond belief.

Nowadays it doesn't even get you a decent reserve goalkeeper.

In that way he's similar to Morata, only difference is Morata is apparently worth €70 million, while we're getting Iheanacho for £25 million.
