Kelechi Iheanacho

Just got a warm fuzzy feeling this is happening and he wants to come here. Hopefully we'll now be even more determined to get this over the line as soon as possible. In some ways a buy back clause in this instance will give us a better chance of doing the deal. Spurs wouldn't agree to one of those with a rival. Monaco and Doetmund could be losing their star striker but I think it's too far down the line now, we just need to get this shit resolved with his former agent. PAY THE MONIES.

He wants to stay in UK. Been mentioned before by someone somewhere in here that he wants British citizenship and is close to getting it. Dortmund were one European club (think both Milan clubs as well) interested in him and enquired about him.

He'll still come here but just hope for all your sakes it gets announced before any more paper talk lol

It's probably his former agency talking to the press to try and get a hurry up.

Nah - they'll be too busy spending the wonga they know they can now hold out for!

what a surprise about the sun saying stuff like that, i'd be surprised if Spurs wanted a deal like that since usually they just want cash, Dortmund would only want him if they sold a forward and im honestly not sure if Monaco would spend £25mil given the recent template of them buying cheap(ish) then selling for loads

but all in all hopefully we'll get it all over the line this week with him in the new away shirt and him linking up with the team for the PL Asia trophy next week

If the 50 mln buyout clause is true than obviously even Man City thinks he can be a player with a 80-100 mln value. Monaco bought Tielemans for 25 mln EUR, while Iheanacho is proven in a much better league. Both players obviously have much higher sell-off value. Monaco has already sold Germain, Mbappe won't be in Monaco long, while Falcao is 31. Buying a forward makes perfect sense.

Kelechi is not just a pure forward, so he would fit in with Dortmund model as well. And who knows what happens with Dembele and Aubemeyang.

We are told he wants to stay in this country to get a uk passport. He is young. He doesn't have to go chasing the CL etc. He wants to play football with his mate ! (And get very well paid at the same time which he won't match in France or Germany)

As a Manchester City fan (although a prodigal one) I have seen a lot of Kelechi for the past few years, and feel he's only shown about 50% of what he can do; he's going to be a mega star and will be the perfect foil for Vardy as a second striker in a 4-4-2, of even as a focal point/false 9 in a front 3 with Vardy further wide.

The kid is top class, and his treatment/almost exile under Guardiola allegedly has more to do with his refusal to sign with Pep's brother's agency than his potential/talent/attitude.

Most City fans are too far up the Catalan charlatans arse to see how the club's few remaining elements of authenticity are being torn apart by his moronic decisions, because his presence makes them vindicated in their desperation to be a big club rather than a wealthy one; Hart's shameful treatment wouldn't have been tolerated back when the fans still had dignity, and the same goes for Iheanacho's sale.

While you're at it, I'd throw some money at Patrick Roberts as well, another uber-talent who's being ignored so Pep can fill his team and bench with £45m forwards to try to disguise the fact he's simply Roberto Martinez with historically better resources. Like everything else about the man, the perception that he's some great developer of youth is pure mythology.

Brilliant post.

thats true, personally id be surprised if he went to either Monaco or Dortmund tbh, well yet anyway, though both clubs seem to have many irons in the fire with transfers,

This suggests it is a done deal for us with a few contract issues mostly with Man City to deal with.

The important word in the Sun report is 'hi-jack'.   Nothing has been formally signed so at this point in time we are exposed to another Club coming in at the last minute to scupper the deal.

Just like they said Chelsea were going to hijack the Lukaku transfer.  Didn't happen neither will this be anything other than our transfer.  How many transfers have you seen get hijacked at this point of negotiations.  Paper offer fake news!!

Some might say that Man Utd hijacked Chelsea's deal to bring in Lukaku.

Nothing is certain in football until it is officially confirmed.

"The Most Promising Talent in Africa, Kelechi Iheanacho, has reported back for pre-season training at Manchester City even though he has agreed a five-year deal with former Premier League champions Leicester City.

In the coming days, possibly before the end of the week, all the i's will be dotted and the t's crossed, and the Foxes will announce the signing of the Nigerian.

Manchester City have uploaded pictures confirming that Iheanacho was at City Football Academy on Monday for the start of pre-season preparations.

The Citizens manager Pep Guardiola also ran the rule over England youth international Tosin Adarabioyo yesterday, despite suggestions that he could depart the Etihad Stadium on loan this summer.

Man City have lined up friendlies against Manchester United, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in pre-season."

I know its the Nigerian press but theyve not been wrong yet! especially with the Musa & Ndidi deals
