I imagine @stansp has been told what the club are hoping but might take a few days. Percy said he needed to sort out something with his previous management company, which as I understand it is how much they get for this, and that won't scupper the transfer as all the terms have been agreed - just a case of how much gets paid to each management company. Hoping this goes through then. But cautious optimism from me as until he has officially signed there is still a chance that the deal can be hijacked. Especially as there appears to be two sets of agents/management representing the player.

lgfualol Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Can't we just announce him without completing the signing. I've got a case of the Mondays and an announcement would sort it out.

Ian Nacho Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 I never understand why these things take so long, surely paperwork can just be done in an afternoon especially when the problem is with two management companies.

HoustonFox Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Sorry folks but I think I am causing the delay, all the club's top resources are consumed with trying to get my email authentication for the new website to work. I'm sure once that's done, it will be smooth sailing...

thybluefox Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Sky Sports are reporting that there is still a few things to finalise in the deal, including any buyback clause - but that both parties are keen to complete the deal and he's very keen on coming here. Quote BREAKING NEWS Sky sources have been told that Leicester City have agreed a deal in principle with Manchester City for the transfer of striker Kelechi Iheanacho. The fee could rise to £25m for the 20-year-old but there are, however, a number of contractual issues still to address, including whether or not there will be a buy-back clause allowing Iheanacho to return to the Etihad for a fixed price in the future. We’ve also been told that Iheanacho has to resolve a dispute over image rights with his former agent before any new contract can be signed. We understand there is a willingness on all sides to get the deal done, and the player himself is keen on a switch to King Power stadium. However, no formal announcement is imminent. Maybe we should give him and Ndidi Gylfi's number.
Wymsey Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Just glad we're just at the start of the transfer window, and not in the final few days..
