Lots of West Ham fans on twitter getting excited about a record bid they've supposedly put in...

Wouldn't be too worried about that, happened last season when they signed Lacazette.... Awfully run club. Iheanacho won't be a  West Ham player next season.

First bid in today as far as I know. Problem being the buy back they want put in the deal is only just above the asking price. Effectively making it a loan if he comes good and they want him back. Gonna be complicated I fear.

A sign that Musa is actually on his way then?

Yes - although the Turkish interest has cooled

People need to get out of Football Manager and into the real world with transfer, do we honestly think that our owners aren't splashing the cash? We're targeting highly sought out players who i'd assume we're willing to spend a lot of money on but we don't want to get into a bidding war with, especially when you look at the wider picture for a player and there family.

However painful it is to accept, clubs based in London will have an advantage to a lot of players, the lifestyle and ability to do more is a massive thing for people. We may have won the league, but frankly it was a freak exception, when we're going up against clubs like Everton who have shown steady improvement whilst also consistently finishing in the top half of the league we are always going to struggle, then you add they'll be in Europe which is a plus point.

We really need to trust our owners and club in that they've identified targets who we can afford (and we will pay for) who want to come here because they want to play here..

I hope Iheanacho knows what he wants and knows we're the right club for him rather then spunkin money at something just to sign players just to keep shouting about how we can compete with the big boys.

Top, is that you?

Well isn't there a difference between a bid being accepted by a club and the player agreeing the deal (+terms) to come here?

I was purely referring to the clubs - the player (and his advisors!!) are another matter although I thought I had read this aspect was sorted a while back

the longer without any sort of news the less hopefully i feel about us getting Iheanacho tbh

hope im wrong

the club are pursuing him so it's not like they're just sitting doing jack all.

But as said before, Man City are not in a rush to sell (they don't need the money) and are probably waiting for other clubs to come in with better offers. Essentially play clubs off each other.

It'll go on for a while no doubt.

There's the business way of ironing out the details and then there's the army way of ironing out the details, removing every crease and uncertainty....most clubs are doing it the business way and getting decent business done and Leicester are doing the army way.....that's why targets get hacked off with us and think "sod this, I'm off somewhere else".....this is going to be a regular occurrence until they get Rudkin out and get someone in who's prepared to take the plunge !!!!

Why all the hate for Rudkin ???

I'm sure he is following an agenda laid out by the money people.

I work in an office full of fans of other clubs. They all seem to moan about how long their clubs take to complete transfers. I'm just not convinced we're that different.

No hate, just think he's the decision man. There's reports going through for loads of good signings being completed (some are targets we've been after also, but obviously not got)!! Why are Leicester dithering? I don't expect us to be held to ransom, but if we were offering a good deal, we'd have signed a couple more already!.....frustrating !
