I think you'll be disappointed.

I think it's always best to be a bit humble. You've done well this year, but Christ you've bigged your team up like they are the second coming of Barcelona or something. I'd just advise to lay off the cockyness a bit, we've all seen top championship teams struggle when getting to the premier league, and large investment doesn't always equal success, no matter who's helping you spend it. I mean being so cocksure you'll do so well is gonna make you look a right idiot if you don't, and you'll end up being disappointed with anything that even remotely resembles a relegation battle.

Just be happy to stay up next year, after that you can build on it.

They have huge plans for Wolves and the funds available for the Premier League is said to be "frightening".

I'm not trying to be cocky, I know it's going to be difficult. But this feels very different to the last two times that we've come up. We have a team that would probably be just about safe as it is. That's before the investment comes.

Attracting players won't be the issue. Keeping Nuno will be essential.

It's not about spending money though, it's about bringing the right players in. We're currently 8th with a 20 goal a season striker who cost us next to nothing from non league. In fact nearly all the big money we've spent is nowhere near our first team. Same can be said for say Bournemouth. Ibe starts sparingly after they spent big on him. Afobe was a big buy and they sent him back to you. The league is littered from top to bottom with big money players who've done nothing.

And bringing in the right players in the championship is a world away from the premier league. It'll be big learning curve for everyone at the club. They gonna get some right, but I bet they'll get plenty wrong. Plus it took a lot of our player nearly a season to get used to the league. Mahrez was great in the championship and struggled with the step up initially. Knockaert was great in the championship and was moved on.

It’s ok having the funds but getting the players to want to come to you is another matter. The midlands aren’t a desirable place for the foreign players to live as we’ve discovered at times.

I think you’ll be surprised by how brutal this league can be. Hopefully you don’t regret your bullishness

I appreciate you're giddy after getting promotion after being in League 1 recently and fair play to you, but whoop de doo, you can keep the ball a bit and counter attack just like a lot of other PL teams. The quality is so much higher than the Championship, you'll be nothing special next year, 17th should be your aim.

I think Wolves will probably be okay- the gulf in quality between the divisions is massive, but there has been some utter dross at this level too. Cardiff will drop straight back down, Huddersfield will struggle to kick on. Look at us, we've been pretty shocking for months and we're on for a top half finish. Burnley are solid if unspectacular, and they're in Europe next season.

Teams who reach 100 points generally do pretty well;

Reading- finished 8th in their first season

Newcastle- stayed up comfortably first season then finished 5th

Us- struggled initially but won it

Sunderland- finished 7th

Fulham- stayed up comfortably and hung about for over a decade.

Teams coming up in that fashion generally have a deep-rooted winning mentality. Saying that though, we struggled to cope with the increased standard initially and could have quite easily dropped down again.

The quality between divisions is big (ie the way football is played - the quality of football in the Championship is awful) but the lower half of the PL isn't great quality in terms of team strength. The likes of Brighton have been mid table all season and have Shane Duffy starting every week.

Am I the only one that thinks Wolves will be more than okay next season? Not saying it's going to happen, nor do I think it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they finished in the top half.

They'll be fine. They have a much bigger budget than Huddersfield and Brighton to start with.  But there was s Wolves lad on COPA90  saying this Wolves team is better than our current Leicester side. The more appropriate Q is are they better than the 13/14 Leicester side. Probably on par to be honest. We got 102 points that season.

Don't really know much about their team but all I know is that Neves lad is farrr to good for the Championship, at least a top 6 standard.

Nuno will get found out at the top level and you'll end up with a firefighter in charge

He's already managed in the Champions League with more than one club, and has beaten Real Madrid with Valencia.

I reckon he'll be ok
