Their legal people probably told them to hold off until June for various reasons

I wonder if its announced/ completed  in may then its added to last seasons budget but if competed in June it counts towards next seasons budget?

The same people who don't want Shakey to get it full time are the ones that are moaning that he's not been announced yet? How very odd. Let's just say we are considering not giving it him, would you rather we play that hand straight the way before lining up the manager we do want, or would you rather we find out in quick succession that Shakespeare isn't getting it because we are giving it to someone else whose agreed to manage us?

I'm torn between there needing to be a big overhaul at Leicester from top to bottom or trying to plug the gaps that have appeared in the last year or so, the danger trying to do the latter is we'll fail to move forward as we're holding on to the past. New regimes can be just as much of a gamble but you've got to know when to be innovative and progressive and when to stick. Firstly, that coont Rudkin needs ousting and a whole new sporting director/recruitment team putting in place, along with fresh ideas in our academy. Our owners rely too heavily on some distinctly average executives who's football knowledge is nowhere near the level it should be for a club that's won the Premier League and wanting to become a global force. That's just as important a requirement as the new manager, I'm worried it's all very close to unravelling.

everyone knows that you dont start a job on the last day of the month! its gets confusing with pay, do i get paid for that one day of May or do i jsut get an extra days pay in june or a pay packet for just one day! So much easier if you just wait till the 1st of the month :D

Makes sense to me; best explanation yet. Nobody wants a day in lieu.

I think we are fine at the minuet. If we don't have a manager by July 1st then it's panic mode.

At least we can dance then, shame we can't keep the ball for longer! Perhaps we should get in Len Goodman to take over from Shakey then we can Foxtrot as well.

Look, some of these foreign geezers are not going to know the importance of  chicken sandwiches on the menu. Is they don't they can naff off!

We're not becoming a laughing stock, I'd much rather the owners are 100% sure they have the right man before an announcement. The problem on here is impatience and drama rules! It's only 31st May today ffs get a grip.

There's no such thing as being 100% sure of anyone - especially in a football environment.

Pedant :)

100 % confident they are choosing the right person to attempt to meet their targets for the Club.

If it is Shakespeare, I'm surprised it's taken this long - considering he's been on the club's books for years and hence has developed a strong and reliable reputation.

Didn't someone mention (@sylofox iirc?) that he would be confirmed as manager by Wednesday evening?

With Mahrez's wish to leave, that and this situation, combined, has made the overall picture at the club more uncertain and not all rides etc currently.

Perhaps it's time for the owners to 'point their finger out' and make strong intentions in that they want all of this changed around.

Two years ago we didn't have a manager until the middle of July and we ended up winning the league.

Yeah but people had their arseholes licked by now so it's not the same.

Well, we're on June 2 now and still no manager. Have the accountants suggested July 1 or a special announcement on the first day of the season? lol

Of greater complexity than extracting ourselves from the EU, so it seems.

Hopefully this is still not sorted going into pre-season games.
It would also be nice to not sign any fresh players until the season has started.

Perhaps we're involved in registering ourselves as a volcano and planning to stay dormant for the close season! :D

Haha, we did it for 8 months last season so we're well versed.

Right this is wearing a bit thin now ...   we need more info on this 'legal technicality' malarkey please Sylo,  so spill a few more beans ...

It must be the equivalent of a  'Houston we have a problem'  type technicality ...   or ...     SOMETHING EVEN WORSE !! ...   :o:o:o
