just for further confirmation

Let people ty to defend that now. At least Mahrez made things clear at the end of last season combined it with a personal statement and put a shift (even if it's for his own interest).

This one sneaks a transfer request two days before the window closes and is "injured" since forever.

Unsure why players hand in transfer requests these days? I'm sure agents are able to tout players about without that and an interested club make an offer regardless.

Many clubs like ours that used to have to sell but now don't.

Daft as it sound but its modern slavery albeit ridiculously well paid.

Re DD if we get the price then cheers we move on, hardly been pulling up trees.

He was crap last year, still don't know what all the fuss is about.

most of the fuss is due to how late he's left it, leaves us relying on both James and Ndidi staying fit until Jan.

It's not though is it? He signed a contract to play for us for a set number of years for set amount. We didn't force him into that. Just because he's changed his mind doesn't make it modern slavery in this case. I agree with your move on sentiment though.

By making it public, the kind of "I don't want to stay, better let me go or I'll sulk" statement.

He wants to go, he wants to go. It's just the timing of it that pisses me off more than him wanting to take on a bigger challenge, he has ambitions so it's fair enough. But he cannot expect the club to just accept any offer a day before the window closes. If we can't get a replacement, we could be in real trouble with an injury or two. After everything he's been through and and what we've achieved together I'd expect more respect from him than a transfer request at this point.

I agree although i think they'll be a Bosman type ruling in the future or new contracts will automatically come with a buyout as even the smallest PL club wont sell.

Spends the afternoons after training in the fields does he, kidnapped from his home and forced to work against his will.... nah, signed a 100k a week contract and spends his afternoons playing FIFA and having glamour girls jump him.

Yeah, I'm still not sold that it's actually happened either. Sky are full of it and we know Dorsett isn't as connected as he makes out. We'll see.

If he's handed in a transfer request, it just grows my own admiration for Riyad. Now there is a man with integrity.

Danny needs to get his agent to earn his money. We have a valuation, please meet it. You'll make a quarter of it back when you sell him to Stoke in 18 months ?

I'm sure he does want to go and it might well be true. But Sky sports now sit somewhere between Indy Kalia and Sean from Enderby in terms of their insider knowledge.
