wattolcfc Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 If Chelsea pay £40m for drinky then I think weve had their pants down just like they did with us over Kanté. Easily replaceable, but it won’t be cheap this late in the window!

Hope it doesn't make us sell him for much less than what we're holding out for Maybe to publically out himself as not happy he hopes to make sure the deal goes though and him wanting to leave forces the issues more. As opposed to Chelsea just making an offer for a content player.
WoodyFox Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Get rid, take anything above 25m. Rather he isn't part of the squad if he doesn't want to be here.

Wonder if the injury was real or just at the transfer ligament as someone said.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 I think we have to accept that players will want to move on to further their careers. Just like it always had been. They were told after we won the league that they could fulfill their goals at Leicester but it is apparent that they can't anymore and in fact we aren't moving forward as hoped and expected. I think our stars really thought that we could kick on and establish ourselves as a top six club but reality is sinking in as we become the Leicester City we know and love.

It went downhill as soon as Shaky was appointed

That last bit won't be true until we've gone down, gone into admin and sign Nicky Summerbee (while not paying him)
Mrfox452 Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 If he has handed a transfer request then let him go. At this stage I wouldn't take anything less than 35mill though. It may be unrealistic but I think Renato Sanches on loan would be a perfect replacement. The guy is desperate for game time for the world cup next year and would suit our game perfectly.
Will1981 Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 If he has handed in the request hold out for the £40m if we do not get it send him to rot in Belgium.

Tuna Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Seems somewhat odd that he'd put a request in since it's already well reported we're in talks with Chelsea to sell him. Must be that we are playing hardball on the price as is our right and Chelsea are refusing to budge. We have out valuation and if it's not met he stays, don't know why Chelsea don't just pay the money to get it done and we can all stop talking about it, he doesn't want to play for us anymore fine but we shouldn't allow ourselves to be bullied in the transfer market.
Ashley Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 Gutted IF we do lose him but what ever happened to "I want to finish my career at Leicester"? Wish players wouldn't say those kind of things.

The_77 Posted 29 August 2017 Posted 29 August 2017 If Drinky goes, I hope the owners use some of that money to buy this forum a therapist.
