StriderHiryu Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Just remember this is the same media that called our team snakes and claimed they had sold out Ranieri. Don't believe everything you read.
Simi Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Chelsea leaking the transfer request to drive down the price? Can't see that going down well with the owners.

It's just the timing of it that pisses me off more than him wanting to take on a bigger challenge, he has ambitions so it's fair enough. But he cannot expect the club to just accept any offer a day before the window closes. If we can't get a replacement, we could be in real trouble with an injury or two. After everything he's been through and and what we've achieved together I'd expect more respect from him than a transfer request at this point. I agree, but i assume there have been issues behind the scenes that have made him hand in his transfer request. He is going to a club that regularly wins things, will be playing Champions League and will get back into the England squad in a World Cup year. Can't really blame him for that - however disappointing it is. If he's said he wants to talk to Chelsea and we have denied/discouraged him, I assume that his agent has advised that the transfer request and going public would help in getting the move of the club are playing hardball (?). This does feel like a breaking up of what we achieved. My office will look like a scene from The Wire, with a big Red Cross through the photos of Kante/Claudio/Drinky/Riyad

Chelsea very well might want him but i call Bullshit Yeah yeah, I know it's hard to cope with it. The news are relayed in every newspapers now. Personally I'm all for keeping him and would be glad to hear it's fake. I just don't believe one bit it is. Why would they lie about something like that?

It is late I guess, hopefully it's just being reported late and we have a replacement well into the stages of completion

Fox 4 Life Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 I'm more depressed that 4 of the top 6 threads, a day before deadline day are about players leaving.

That was also around the time when a certain Chelsea player paid us a visit at a random away friendly for some strange reason. thankfully Riyad loves actually playing football far too much.

Would any new contract also include a 'Binning out' Clause if the player became sh*t and stopped putting in a shift?

Sky are useless mate, they make stuff up constantly and just repeat any old crap on the internet. I'm sure it's true this time as other suggest it is, but Sky are terrible.
lgfualol Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Sky should never be believed, their aim is to get people betting on Skybet, not actually give out news.
Fox92 Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Unbelievable that we've just gone backwards since winning the league. I know we were never going to better that but after winning it we spent lots of money on players that aren't good enough, lost the manager and now two of that spine want to leave.

I think it's great that the big clubs can no longer simply cherry pick the best players from the smaller clubs whenever they feel like it, long may it continue. It might in time help create a more even playing field where so called "genius" managers at top clubs earn their money through improving the players they have rather than buying the title like Mourinho, Pep and C*nte are attempting to do.

Exactly and they only get worse as deadline day approaches so they can promote that cvnt Jim White and their god awful countdown shite. My only hope is more heroes are at the live parts chucking dildos at the reporters.

Sambiasso Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Last season Chelsea came in for DD, which was outright refused, this lead to Kante going to Chelsea. DD tells the club he will stay for another year but if a top 6 club comes in for him he wishes to talk to them, the club agrees June 2017 - DD informs the club that he wishes to leave but keeps this private, unlike Mahrez. August 2017 - This information becomes public The biggest concern who is being brought in to replace them.

Vestan Pance Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Drinkwater's statement after signing that 5 year contract last summer.....hilarious.

But Sky are complete muck now days, twitter has killed their "sky sources" as it's given the reporters their own voice and their own place to break news instantly.

Yes but Chelsea still knew they could get him for next to nothing because of that clause. I don't believe for a second that he was their backup plan after DD

Well I think he said "could" stay rather than "would". He also said if we were still moving forward... last season fooked us big time being in a relegation battle.
