I probably think we should sign Ben Gibson.

Boro/Monk do not want to sign him and i bet they will not budge below 30m. Its honestly annoying.

KI will bring some creativity but goals more than anything (I hope)

We need to sign more now, Craig must be acutely aware we lack creativity.

Perhaps he thinks Andy King gives us that?

Gibson will be a late deal. Can't imagine he'll want to play in the championship and isn't he family tied to the club, his career might actually be weighed up in the process. Otherwise I don't think he'll be happy there.

Now we have Iheanacho, Harry and Iborra, if we can keep Mahrez and sign 2 more top quality players I seriously believe we can be top 6. It's that close. So close

8th should be the goal this year, with 8th-10th being the 'acceptable range'. And yes, it's time to try and win a cup. I'm still angry with St Claudio for throwing away an FA Cup quarter final place last year!

I suspect the Iheanacho transfer will prove to be a bit of a domino effect in that potentially Slimani (linked with West Brom a a return to Sporting) may be touted around.  Whether that means he could prove joker card in signing Evans or Adrien we will have to wait and see but with rumours of Ulloa looking at a new contract and Iborra's reported second striker abilities I wouldn't be surprised to see him move on and open up the door for other movements in the squad.  Kelechi was a move we had to seal due to the amount of press, risking that move with too much upheaval would have been suicide and now that is done, I believe some of the players we were linked with could be more ruthlessly pursued and a little dead wood offloaded.  Certainly in defence.

I sincerely hope so. Most of us on here pretty much agree on the areas we are lacking, surely Craig must see the same. If not, I'm worried!

In an ideal world I'd like 3 more. A right back, a centre back and a bit of creativity from midfield. Depending on who he plays with I see it being a great year for Wilf and maybe he could be the man that bursts forwards with the ball like Yaya used to for Man City. We're just missing that link from midfield to attack and over rely on our wingers which makes us too predictable

Agree on the first two definitely.  I worry about 'creative' players if we are going to continue with our current formation and playing style.  Another creative player a la Marez, Gray etc. would leave us vulnerable.  Depends on the player and formation I suppose though.

Creativity, Creativity, Creativity, That's all we really need. Yes we could do with another CB or RB but we have enough

everywhere with the exception of a player who can hold possession, bring others into play, and play the killer pass, to disect a defense. If we get one of them we'll do really well.

I don't think we need a CAM, as where will they play? Iheanacho is going to play the no.10 role, just behind Vard I'd imagine. We do however need creativity as others have pointed out.

My concern is the longer Mahrez is still here, the more likely Gray will get pissed off and come the end of the transfer window when a team matches our figure for Mahrez and he goes, we will be ****ed.

Keep Riyad

Get another CB

I'd be happy then I think - well less scared.

I think Slim might be the only one unhappy by the Kelechi signing.

If Riyad does go then it might be Kelechi behind Vards and Slim with wing backs but I'd then worry about creativity.

3 at the back with the CBs we have, i worry.  Need some more mobile ones or else the wing backs will do a LOT of defending.

I am not so sure. I think that there is more to come from Slimani - I can see him playing alongside either Vardy or Iheanacho.

I sincerely hope you are right. I haven't seen enough of him yet to tell. But he's certainly an improvement on Okazaki.

At least he won't keep falling over.

With the amount the top 6 has spent, think it'll be harder than ever to break into it, even Everton have majorly spent money. Can see a mid table finish, hopefully top 10 this time

Not with our style of play no chance.

We need creativity and stability at the back.

What style of play would you suggest we use, to help break into the top six?

Should we play like Bournemouth and become a wannabe Arsenal, play fancy possession but ultimately achieve nothing?

Fuch that. Our style of play is fine. Aspects of it can be improved yes (ie: investing in a attacking RB, young CB & creative player), but we don't need to change it and move away from the foundations which has taken years to build.

Keeping our style of play is our best chance of breaking into the top six.

Loan Nasri

with a view to buy?

Gibson , smalling,sako or mangdala

A right back?

I bet Vards would love to get stuck into Nasri again in training

We're 2-3 signings short. Everyone can see and mentioned the same areas to improve, let's hope the club are working on it.

Cant help but think the Mahrez deal is holding things up. We should make the signings now and presume he's going, as he will but not until right at the end.

I'd like to see us bring in a No. 10 or at least another creative wide right player, a CB and a RB are another must.

I suspect other clubs further up the chain are also delaying matters too.

I meant more that Slim probably came to be a starter and has had to suffer rotation so far, and that was with Shinji. Now with Kelechi joining, and Vardy as first choice, there might be more frustration on his part regarding not starting every week. It's no secret that I like Slim a lot, I'd like to maybe see a way to play all three. Now that would be exciting!!

We need 3 players, maybe 4 if Mahrez leaves. We need a rb, cb, and a creative centre mid. Palace have been linked with Fosu mensah on loan, i think hed be a great signing for us as he can compete at rb with Simpson as well as cover cb and cdm. I really rate him and always thought hes looked good when hes played for united. Think we need to lose a few players as well. King, Musa, Mendy, Benny, ulloa all can go to free up wages. Also need to make a decision on Lawrence and Barnes. Either have them competing in the first team or loan them out, or in Lawrence's case, sell him if hes not going to cut it
