kingfox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Not surprising, more surprised with the Arsenal line up in particular the formation, looks like 4-2-3-1 for them.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Where's the positivity? Worst case scenario - Ulloa CAN'T be subbed on!
Spicer Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 We all guessed in Amartey is the back up CB ahead of Benny.

lcfcsnow Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 If Huth and Drinkwater were fit I wonder if we'd have lined up the same as we have the last few years, I'm hoping I'm proved wrong but we really need to improve the actual starting 11.
StriderHiryu Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 The expected line up. Keep it tight then unleash Nacho and Gray on 60!

OLD norfox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Expected line-up. Looking so forward to this ! Foxes never quit
Merging Cultures Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Not surprising, more surprised with the Arsenal line up in particular the formation, looks like 4-2-3-1 for them.3-4-2-1
Tielemans63 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 The Arsenal line-up Cech, Holding, Monreal, Kolasinac, Bellerin, Elneny, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Welbeck, Lacazette #AFCvLCFC https://t.co/R6cqPLPr3L No decent centre backs in that side.
lgfualol Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 James and no King Okazaki and no Kelechi Hamer :| It makes sense, hopefully we see Iheanacho start in the future when he settles more.
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Personally I think we can have these if we go about it the right way. Which we won't. We'll be all out conservative and will get picked off instead of having a right go at them.
Monsell1976 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Okazaki our best option up front, going to be a long season
49er Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Without Sanchez, they really look a very average side, weak at the back.

Maguire would surely start over one of Morgan or Huth? Tho not sure if that's true with Shakey
Bryn Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 That Arsenal side looks frail as ****. If we can frustrate the attack we might get somewhere. Morgan and Maguire need to be ready for Lacazette.
ZeGuy Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Best possible starting XI. Still hard to go against Arsena's midfield three.
st albans fox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Blimey - what a bench !!!! vardy could find himself very isolated against that back five (3+2) wonder if we will revert to a proper midfield 5 at some point to counter their setup
nnfox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Whatever happens, just remember that Arsenal beat us twice in 15/16 and we still finished 10 points ahead of them.

However Wolves played a similar formation against us in Pre Season and we struggled. Ndidi and James are our two key players tonight, time and time again last season we came unstuck against the big sides because of their midfield runners. Ozil roaming free won't be nice unless Big Harry can crop him early doors.
HighPeakFox Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 STOP BEING MISERABLE PLEASE, GIVE IT AT LEAST 5 MINUTES INTO THE MATCH!
Tielemans63 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Might not make for a pretty game but we can cause them some problems in the air. There's no dominant centre half in their side.
