N'didi has definitely been tasked with being the one to push on from what I've seen. His pass completion rate has dropped off a cliff because of it as well.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Krychowiak as a holding/destroying midfielder protecting the back line and Wilf as a penetrating ( I can "feel" the puns already) force linking up with the forwards.
Koke Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Drinkwater isn't even that creative. And from what I've seen of Krychowiak at Sevilla he can pass pretty well and is quick + physical defensively. He gets around the pitch very well.

Exactly, he was in the title winning season but reverted back to a more defensive player last season without Kante.
Great Boos Up Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 At a guess didn't we sign Inler whilst looking at this chap? if so then it's an old skool Pearson, Walsh Shakespeare signing. Perhaps he still sticks in in the mind of CS.
Rusko187 Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Decent player and thought he would be out of our reach...GERRIMIN
Domsdad Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Errrr hello! Chelsea wanted this guy, even if we don't believe in our scouting system, surely they pretty much know what they are doing?

You may have missed it but Chelsea have never bid for this bloke and would clearly rather have drinkwater on their payroll.

Chelsea may want him but they can't buy him - they need English players or they face having a very small CL squad.

I don't believe for a second they want this guy. He isn't good enough for Chelsea.
Ian Nacho Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Krychowiak and Iborra in midfield... Not sure if we're turning into Sevilla or West Brom by having two defensive midfielders.

Lesta2014 Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Can't comment on his ability as haven't seen him play, I'm glad we are linked to a midfielder though seeing as I think drinkwater will go.
sphericalfox Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 How the **** are we gonna turn this into a chant? Best I can think is to try convert This Old Man.. Now he can join us. We're ready.
ZeGuy Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 Get at least this deal done, since DD's departure is apparently confirmed.

Nick Posted 28 August 2017 Posted 28 August 2017 I can't possibly imagine this happening as it's a role for Iborra.... but he'd certainly strengthen the squad but is NOT really creative so I'm struggling to see if we lost DANNY and Mahrez what would happen. Also (forgetting last season) by the side of Kante DD was far more creative than people give him credit for.

Rain has been the problem here so far though. Will see what tonight brings. Thanks for the kind thoughts!
