DD is much better than this guy. Don't know what people think they've been watching of this guy.

A defensive midfielder who can play centre back from one of Europe's best clubs and an established international in the prime of his career. He's a fine player and  I would normally be ecstatic BUT I want someone with the creativity to drive us forward.

I think me and Shakey have slightly differing views on how we should be setting up.

A half hearted gerrimin!

agree - this guys is too defensive to replace DD.  My worry is that shakey has been scared by the spurs thing... he is too defensive (look at his arsenal decision making).  This "swap" would be a capitulation - we will become a timid team trying to park a bus... (or submarine (going down...))

Tbf, is he even really a PSG player right now?

Technically yes but Iborra wasn't exactly first name on the team sheet at Sevilla.

Agree, but if he were to come here if might reignite his career - we are famed for rescuing players!  We know he is class and not getting into a very strong centre midfield at PSG is no real detriment to his ability.

Eastern European mate. Haven't you heard it's the best thing since sliced bread?

Iborra seems to possess some attacking threat, maybe we could use him more box to box.

They are both too slow for that. Can only see a change in formation / style coming.

Those two sitting deep protecting the defence and then having a very attacking front line.

Huh? It's nothing to do with nationality. The bloke has won the Europa league twice and been in La Liga Team of the year.

He's a cracking player but not a drinkwater replacement, more of a destroyer. If drinky goes, we need someone who can run a match and create.

I don't know who this man is, nor how to say his name. However the amount of positivity on here in replies is enough to convince me. GERRIMIN!!

If Sheps says Gerrimin, that's a yes from me.

Drinkwater isn't even creative, he's a positive forward thinking player (or was), but he's not particularly creative though. James had better creative stats promotion season and first season up.

If this deal goes through and Drinky leaves I wonder if we will be relying on Ndidi and Maguire to provide more creativity from the back with either this guy and/or Iborra sitting in under those circumstances.

Well like I said before, I did win the champions league 3 teams with Burton Albion on FM17. I am qualified to make these calls. lol
