Not sure, but I reckon we can get the next one closed sub-100 if we try a bit harder.

Start a Trump/MAGA topic. Include a bit of a reference to rednecks and Mexicans and LGBTQ and it wont last 2 pages.

The last person who got a post in the each of the last 10 news or politics threads should have a Champion of Champions News Thread to see who wins the ultimate crown. Only they can post, the rest of us can only observe.

I think we've found the guy from the Manchester Free Trade Hall.

And speaking of which, Garth Hudson - the sole remaining founder member of The Band passed away on the 21st. (Although they were The Hawks at this point).

Why is he a "copycat"?

Have you actually listened to his lyrics?

There are literally dozens of examples of him having stolen lyrics from myriad sources. Poets, other songwriters, plays. Even his Nobel Prize speech (don’t get me started on that joke) was ripped off a website that students use to cheat on essays. There’s no questioning the eclecticness of his plagiarism, that’s for sure.

Maybe it seems, criticism of the far right isn't tolerated for long by the censors

That's not true at all. Every news thread has had loads of criticism of it.

people who ride e scooters and bikes on the road in the dark without lights should be given a £1000 fine

Edit: probably not an unpopular opinion but needed to get it off my chest

It's a start.

I bet an awful lot of folk aren't going to get their takeaways delivered tonight.

Can't stand the bloody things. Plus the fact that many of the pricks that ride these infernal contraptions insist on dressing like ninjas for some unfathomable reason.

I have no problem with either as long as they stay off the pavements, and wear suitable hi-vis attire with lights if it's a bike.

E-scooters on pavements is my biggest bug-bear. Whenever I see someone speeding towards me I just want to clothes-line them straight off it.

One ran into me during in Covid times, when we were meant to be social distancing. Straight down the pavement, straight into me. Left me nose a mess and he ended up in the road.

Total twat then rode off!

Kids do the same, when i was a kid and didn't drive I assumed your silhouette would light up as soon as a car headlights are on you, how I was wrong. But grown men should know better

You crashed into me on a lime bike in the middle of krakow last year at 3am with no lights!

Needs proper regulation. Including regulating the companies like Deliveroo etc. to ensure that those that do the deliveries have proper safety gear like helmets and hi-vis and even a basic training in how to ride safely.

I was driving in London on Tuesday and I was surprised by the number of these delivery scooters/cyclist there were, weaving in and and out of traffic, jumping lights and hopping onto pavements.

There will be a death, if there hasn't been already, of a delivery scooter/bike/moped rider. It's inevitable. What bothers me is that the likes of Deliveroo don't care.

I'm always a little surprised that people like to have takeaways delivered. If you're going to have carbo-rich fast food for your supper, then surely walking down to the takeaway will at least give you a little exercise and burn off some carbs. I appreciate some people may live miles from the takeaway though.

We should take be discussing the influence of Israel in global politics, the media and the police.

Especially how 95% of US politicians work for Israel and a quarter of British MPs especially the ones at the top of both parties.

There’s slaughter going on in the West Bank atm, armed settlers backed up by Israeli soldiers.
