Winehouse is (was) a better singer than Adele.

I don't think that's unpopular is it? Winehouse gets plaudits everywhere now, which is probably right, but feels so different compared to when she was alive and the media hammered her constantly.

I don't really listen to Adele's music but she's got a great voice and seems like a sound person tbf.

By a mile mate. Nothing wrong with Adele if you like throw away pop music. She has a few catching tunes but not convinced her voice is as good as some make out though.

Frank by Amy Winehouse is a classic album and will be listened to for ever imo.

I’ve always thought Amy Winehouse was a bit overrated, probably due to the fact she passed away

Yeah, I did once question why Adele isn't really regarded in the same bracket. I think Black To Black by Amy Winehouse was a decent album but that's all for me.

I’ll listen to 19 over any Amy Winehouse project

The problem is AV was rejected in a referendum here a decade ago. Plus, whatever the voting system that's in place the "just don't vote for any of them" brigade would still be delivering their fascinating hot takes on how that would still be the only real way to change things...

Apples and pears mate,

I've been lucky enough to see them both (I was a fan of neither).

I would love to have seen a colaboration though.

What a waste of life.

Emma-Jean Thackray is on another level to Adele. By far the most talented female musician in the UK at the moment. I'm not normally one to get involved in who is better in music because it doesn't really matter and you like what you like. However the love in for Adele over the years is too much. The media always need someone to jump on though I suppose.

Her most recent album is great but she’s not a great artist to use when trying to downplay Adele. Vocally she isn’t in the same league as Adele regardless of how good the music is

I honestly don't hear Adele's vocal, to me she's  pretty weak. But i get your point though.

I strongly dislike Adele, I really can't stand her music, it's not for me at all. Most of her singles are middle of the road, overplayed pap. I also think her voice is wildly overrated, not because it's bad but because her fans act like she's the second coming of Nina Simone.

But calling her voice weak is absurd. Whatever other gifts she does or doesn't have, she's got pipes.

Does "Location: Scotland" have anything to do with that? :D

I mean, to be fair, my location is Leicester and no part of me wanted England to beat Italy.

Part of me wanted Schmeichel to save the penalty vs Kane.

Having lived in Italy absolutely no part of me wanted them to win the Euros. Their press makes ours look modest.

Haha. Nah I’m English. And am England fan. Though living up here might have subtly changed me. I can’t even fully explain it. I felt like we didn’t deserve it? I dunno. I’d have loved us to win but wasn’t too sad that we didn’t.

To be honest the only time I really want us to win is vs Scotland, preferably a thrashing as well. And I love Scotland as a country.

Also I’m not one of those fans that enjoys slagging England off or wears it as a weird badge of honour. I’d love to feel like I did during Euro 96 again but for some reason I just don’t feel for England like I do for Leicester. Don’t know if it’s old age, living in Scotland, hating most the players, the media. God knows. It’s just like it feels like an effort to support them these days.

Honestly, I can't believe that I had never visited Scotland until the last couple of years. It's absolutely beautiful.

Aye, I’ve lived up here for about 14 years or something now and it’s just so beautiful. I’d never even contemplated visiting here before then. X

I was struck by 3 things when I went to Scotland:

1. Absolutely gorgeous country.

2. Everyone gets their car from the same dealer with the yellow sticker on the back window.

3. Every public toilet is covered in flat earth conspiracy graffiti.

Russell Brand is a really good comedian.

He's great in interviews. Particularly if there are females involved.
