Can I just say all you apple haters can do one. You’ve clearly never had a fresh apple.

Every year  my wife and I take the kids to an apple orchard and pick our own. Several different varieties and they are all

absolutely  delicious  when picked straight off the tree.

Absolutely! Haven't done it in years but nothing like a crisp cold McIntosh apple straight off the tree. And they only last for Autumn and that's it. The cider is heavenly also sharp, crisp, and tart. Don't get me started on the fresh baked pies.

Went to a local apple farm in october with my kids. Picked honeycrisp apples off the tree. My goodness they were the tastiest honeycrisp apples ever. So much better than what you get in markets and grocery stores.

There's a less jaunty version of this by (formerly British) Sea Power that might be more appropriate for such a sad occasion.

On the other hand, Tony Blackburn arsing about might be EXACTLY what the mourners would need

Funeral sad occasions...for the unexpected,a nd afflicted or just taken too early Yes...

But I have accepted I aint got too long...remember fondly what memories one leaves behind and enjoy the time One still has, even if like me  a high % of that

is with pain & less manouverability...I

Mourners have also the right to smile...on the Love & thoughts Left behind, & their lives also turn further...

i hope its not too short a time.. your eloquence will be missed.

Funerals can be either a celebration of life, or a memorium. Up to those arranging it.

He's captain. He's the one allowed to moan at the ref.

Sometimes, refs need to be held accountable.

I love Kaspers passion.

Is it highlighted because he's a keeper?

If a midfielder was doing the same, you wouldn't notice.

What makes someone good/terrible for moaning at the ref?

It's nothing to do with passion or him being a goalkeeper, and as he is Captain I quite agree he has every right to be talking to the ref.

We all know that certain players are worse (i.e. exasperated expressions, dramatic over the top gestures, continuing on and on) with refs. Zaha, Grealish and Maguire spring to mind. I wouldn't quite put Kasper in the same bracket, but he always seems to do it with such attitude and incredulity about whatever it is he has taken issue with.

For me he is over the top and dramatic. I don't mind it so much if it's something I think is a really bad call, but I've seen him do it for things where there isn't even a foul but he's just pissed off we've conceded.

It's not a big deal, I still love the bloke. I just find it irritating that's all.

Perfectly reasonable. We all have our pet peeves about players.......like watching Maddison go down to easily in midfield destroying a fast break. Just to give the opposition time to pack the box and end the advantage. Guess frustration is part of the game for us all.

Most commentators are poor, I don't think that's unpopular but Peter Drury is right up there with the worst of them yet seems to be loved.

Agreed.
No matter how many times I’ve explained it to my dad he still doesn’t understand the concept of the game.

Christmas songs should only be played, at the earliest, two days before Christmas Day.

Still too early.

There is not a single Christmas song which is good.

If you could name your 'favourite' Christmas song, which would it be? Must be one that you don't think is quite as shit as the others.

Became a bit bored of them all over the years but surprisingly, for me at least, I really like Kelly Clarkson - Underneath The Tree.

Last Christmas,

we played you this song,

and the very next day,

we played it again

This year, we'll send you to tears

Not sure if this is unpopular but I think what on the roads has annoyed you today thread smacks slightly of holier than thou attitude-   I am pretty sure posters complaining about transgressions have committed the same said offence for most of the time.

Beside,  I do not think it is very conductive to take to the internet to rage about the roads as that would encourage lack of patience on the roads by being easily worked up.    I can understand posts reporting on cars joining the motorway in the wrong direction or blatant blocking in of the driveway without a care but middle lane hoggers or not nodding in thanks at being given the way?  Come on.

Maybe this will also be unpopular, but I found your post very funny indeed.
