gerrytaggart Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Probably gonna buck the trend and judge the performance after the match.

Nigel Graham Pearson Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Surely the absence of a fully fit Iborra shows that there's a disharmony between Shakespeare and those above. Why did we pay over £10m for the bloke if he's deemed so inadequate for the blessed 442 that Andy King is in ahead of him?
dannythefox Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 These kingy haters are getting boring, didn’t realise you all see all the players in training every day!
foxy boxing Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Ndidi and King just shows how lacking we are in central midfield for creativity!

Tuna Posted 30 September 2017 Author Posted 30 September 2017 Expecting a performance from Gray today. He's got his chance, he needs to make sure he keeps his place. Playing against a manager who likes and rates him - good call to bring him in.
kingfox Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Scenes when Albrighton sets up King for the winner.

Dropping Mahrez is the right decision as he seriously needs a slap for his half hearted performance last week. However people saying he's been shit since forever is utter bollocks. He only had one bad game and it was last week. ONE bad game? Seriously??
UPinCarolina Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 All of those subs are attack minded. We'll be going for it today.
ARTY_FOX Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Good god Gray starting? Let's hope he actually makes one right decision on the ball...

Iheanacho needs to be starting too otherwise he will never get a chance to show what he can do. Iheanacho won't impress until we get Silva playing.. He's not cut out for our hoofball style of play!.. Desperate times when we need to keep playing King week in week out! Think we'll get beat today!!
steflcfc Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 I cant understand Iborra not being included. Played in the cup V Liverpool I get that another 90 mins v Liverpool in the league is too much. Trained all week and not included again when we are wanting in CM. We risk Vardy again even tho we spent 32m Slimani, 25m Iheanacho and 15m Musa out....Shakey must not have any faith in these 3 to get us goals Think we have a split squad or trouble behind the scenes....somethings not right.

People are judging the team, which seems fair enough to me. It's a forum after all. They're certainly not judging the performance before it's happened since that'd be impossible.

Detroit Blues Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 They're probably trying to break iborra in as a substitute before starting him.
ZeGuy Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 6 minutes ago, Hammo said: ONE bad game? Seriously?? Compared to the rest of the team? Yes, definitely and the the main attack threat. The only consistent performers are Simpson, Morgan, Schmeichel (bar his mistake against Salah) and Maguire. Albrighton in comparison has more shitty games yet no one bats an eyelid. Mahrez is always the ideal culprit on this forum as soon as things go south.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Playing 4-4-2 with King in the middle again. Shakey has no excuses if we start slow and lose the game, despite a 20 minute inspired period in the game when 2-0 down. Risky move but you cannot dispute the critics if it doesn't work again.
Sunbury Fox Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 For once we shouldn't be outnumbered in midfield as they seem to be matching our formation, with Defoe up front with Joshua King just behind.
Dawko Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Don't believe that they can't play both Gray and Mahrez. Different players Gray is a winger and Mahrez is not.
reynard Posted 30 September 2017 Posted 30 September 2017 Our away form over the past 12 months is nothing short of a disgrace. Just 5 wins in all competitions and 19 defeats and can feel another loss coming on today. 56 goals conceded and just 31 scored. Shakespeare doesn't seem to be able to change this. I suspect we will set up in a very negative way try and kick the ball down the pitch for Vardy to chase. He'll be almost completley isolated. Ndidi will be overrun in midfield. Maguire will go walk about again and we will let a cross in from one of the wings which will be headed into the goal. Kasper will wave his arms around in annoyance. Gray will be brilliant for 10 minutes and then fade away. At 2-0 down we will at last try to be positive and will score a consolation goal 7 minutes from time. We will then try our utmost using our most constructive piece of play, the long throw, but ultimatley fail to get the equaliser. Of course we could play out and out exciting possession based attacking football full of flair and technique but a year of feeble away performances have made me even more of a sceptical old git. On a serious note what is the point on spending close on 40 million on two supposedly good players but never play them?
