Sunbury Fox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 I'll be amazed if there's a formation change for this. Irrespective of Shakey's stubbornness, changing a formation requires plenty of intense practice and preparation. With so many players away for the past 2 weeks there has simply been insufficient time for him to drill them to play a new shape. The chance to sort that was missed in pre-season. It'll probably be the team that finished at Bournemouth, except perhaps for Okazaki instead of Nacho.

I disagree regarding the intense practice and time to change formation though. If that's the case for our squad then Shakespeare must be a shit coach as well as a poor manager! It is quite regular to see the better teams change formation successfully within a single game to counter an oppositions threat or to increase their own. Or for that matter, in order to best use the partiicular players you have available to you on a particular day. Whether players like it or not is not a consideration like has been muted at Leicester. I don't see Fergie, Mourinho, Guadiola or Conte being prepared to put up eith any of that crap, its week management. Professional players should be comfortable with different formations now days.

Shakespeare was more willing to do that last season when things were going right than he is now they're going wrong, it's quite peculiar.

We've shipped 12 goals already this season. Defence and formation need an overhaul imo Schemeichel Maguire Morgan Dragovic Albrighton Ndidi Iborra Fuchs Mahrez Vardy Gray

He won't though. It'll be 442 with King and Shinji in Edit...no, in fact if Huth is fit I'd replace Morgan for Huth
demon_dog Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Looks like it's gonna be a really exiting game ? So much so that there are still tickets for sale. wouldn't have happened a couple of seasons ago. ?

Wymsey Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 I know Gareth McAuley, Kevin Phillips, Roman Bednar and Lloyd Dyer played for both clubs, but surely there's quite a few others that have as well?

Sampson Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Laurie Cunningham too. One of those players like Les Ferdinand, Mancini or Cambiasso who even though they played at Leicester well past their peak, you could still see oozed class.

Wymsey Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Appleton and Shakespeare both have previous WBA links, too, so hope they have soft feelings for them aside on Monday and go all out attack etc.
Farrington fox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Tbh I didn’t realise this was on Mon, thought it was tomorrow, why the hell would they want to televise this fixture, fs.

To bring peace and tranquillity to the nation....we'll all be asleep after 20 mins.....
lifted*fox Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 At least this can only ruin my Monday night this week - not my weekend.
vanity Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Give me Maguire in the MF. Vardy-Iheanacho Gray Maguire-Iborra-Ndidi Fuchs-Morgan-Dragovic-Simpson Suddenly we can keep possession, each level links, we have our best talent on the field, we are better attacking and on defense. If we need more defense, we go 3-5-2, sub out Gray and Simpson, bring in Chilwell and Albrighton. Pep wouldn't hesitate.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 West Brom have just about managed to sell out....their 1300 allocation. Monday night or not, it's less than an hour away. Pathetic support from a shit club.
fuchsntf Posted 13 October 2017 Posted 13 October 2017 Like England, the trend on here from posters seems to be, we are doomed for relegation and poor performances, It seems the counting, the excitement, the dreams themselves have died...... Funny thing is, like every week, those players that go over the whitewash, will have my undying belief, that this game will be different, an upturn in our fortunes, they will put the turgid past behind us.... Well...I am just one of those silly...fan..a..tics, hope is eternal...I ride the permanent crest of the wave, that sings out, next time will be better...........Keeping it balanced.." We know what we are"..
