Kinowe Soorie Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 For me, counter attacking at pace, pressing and a threat from set pieces. What are yours?
lcfcsnow Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Someone strong enough to not be dictated by certain players.
Kitchandro Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 •Plays positive, high tempo football. •His teams press high. •Has ambition to make us compete in every game and try to score goals, not play for draws. If he doesn't tick those 3 boxes we shouldn't be anywhere near him.
Kitchandro Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Oh and this should for any manager but apparently not - he should be able to understand the strengths of our players and make the most of them. Basically, can we just get someone who's tactically astute and somewhat entertaining or is that too much to ask?
Monsell1976 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Experienced, and somebody who can realistically bring stability to the club, and has the ambition and ability to be around for a while, giving us a style of play, and who can hopefully recover from the wasted chance after winning the league, and take us forward as a club.

MPH Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 someone who is not afraid to stand up to the players.

Redouane Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Not afraid to try new things. What I hated about Shakespeare was the fact that he wasn't willing to take new approaches and learn from his mistakes, he persisted with the same lineup, same formation and same tactics which have been proven to not work time and time again. Ranieri on the other hand, I respect, because he had the balls to change up tactics. Okay, it didn't work out but at-least he tried to change the approach and that's essential.

It's easy to stand up to them, doesn't mean they will respect you or play for you. Someone with presence and ideas that the players can buy into. If they buy into what you are saying then they'll be onboard and accept your decisions!
Fox92 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Someone who isn't friends with the players and will take no shit from them. Someone who isn't afraid to change us totally and drop some of our Premier League winners. Someone who will play fast, attacking football.
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 The club need to change the ethos first and get a manager to suit that. This can cause problems like De Boer at Palace but in the long run it’s for the best. Don’t wanna be changing managers every season
dedlock Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Someone who is tactically adept and able to make decisions promptly as a game develops
Nigel Graham Pearson Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 No biases/favouritism for club servants, 'the lads' and title winners.
HankMarvin Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Getting rid of the old guard if they dont take to new footballing philosophies by January
Jaspa Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Experience being a football manager prioritively, someone who makes this about the team and not about himself. Howe or Dyche if its gotta be an Englishman. If not theres a few big names out there who have experience in this League and are also decent blokes - Pellegrini, Ancelotti, Mancini or Hiddink

I think what you have added is a given... i just think the ability to stand up to the players ( and of course gain their respect in the process) has been lacking in our previous two managers.
