AKCJ Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I know it's not a sure thing... But I think this group needs a well known manager again. Someone who has been there and done it. One that commands respect.
Guest Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 - big name to keep players and pull in good new ones - experience of top end of prem - experience of signing £30m players Benitez.
davieG Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Available and wants to come here well that's who we'll get.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Someone who has got big enough gonads to not be subservient to a director of football who's experience was gained in Sunday league.
Gerard Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Pull out all the stops to get Tuchel, just try and get him round the table first and go from there. Recruitment at a football club is absolutely essential and none more so than the manager. Tuchel was mentioned for the Bayern job but he's 44 and now without a job approaching mid season. Maybe Leicester is beneath him but he's not a shoo-in for any top club who becomes available so maybe we could get him if we give him assurances on transfer budget and wages. Last year we were 19th in the biggest income clubs in the world so we should be worth considering for any manager outside the very elite. Spend the money to get the best man we can rather than the usual suspects.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Bold, Argentinian and achieved more in the game than 99.9% could dream of. Alongside a general manager to take on all the crap
Corky Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Be able to adapt to each game, not stick with a rigid formation every time. To get us pressing higher, to play at a quicker tempo, not be afraid to bruise some egos if required.
nnfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 We have technically good players. Need someone to organise them and motivate them.
urban.spaceman Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Telegraph reporting that we're after a big name, such as Ancelotti.
HitchinFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I don't know about the next manager, but "Essential Credentials" sounds like a brilliant name for a cover band.
Nalis Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Just now, HitchinFox said: I don't know about the next manager, but "Essential Credentials" sounds like a brilliant name for a cover band. Or a Creed cover band called Essential Creedentials?
Lionator Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Somebody who can draw a line under the title winning campaign and move on. Somebody who commands respect from the players and makes the big decisions himself. Somebody who can change our game to incorporate players such as Slimani and Iheanacho.

southfox66 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Defence, the key to success is starting from the back, whereas we seem to think it's about scoring goals. The fact we spent less £20 million on defence since title win and over £70 million on strikers seems to prove the point.
