Cannot believe this thread thought it must be a wind up.

Why would we want a man in charge on monster money  who has presided over the demise in a short time of Everton always a 7/8 club.Help me please.

We need to concentrate on how to see these off next week on top of kicking Leeds out of the cup with a strong team.

It's hardly Koeman's fault that Everton sold their best player without replacing him. It's not like they didn't have the money, because they had at least 90 million. Sounds slightly familiar.

You don't end up in the bottom 3 having conceded 18 goals because you have replaced  a striker especially having spent 180 mill or so on other players.

Maybe he needed more time but he ain't going to get that at LCFC.

Personally I don't like the idea of appointing a manager who ditched Southampton for Everton. F'ING EVERTON. Not an understandable departure like Man United or Barcelona. It wasn't even a step up.

Like Steve Walsh, I questioned his ambition for doing it.

As for the moving closer to his family, whilst it may have been true...it's ****ing England, nowhere is far away, add to the fact his job entails travelling, I called bullshit.

...I'd still have him back though, even more so to replace Rudkin.

Does anyone know if Steve Walsh has gone with Koeman/will be going soon - when a new manager is appointed?

Mail reporting Everton will go for Dyche. We have perhaps forced their hand on this one.

But at least it sounds like they've identified a target and are going for him, same cannot be said of us.

Doesn't seem an Everton type man to me and that's further from Northampton. Bigger worry is that Everton get Pellegrini. If they take Dyche so be it.

Funny how Koeman gets the blame for the transfer market dealings and not the messiah Steve Walsh who a lot of Everton fans are blaming for their transfer dealings.  Look at the comparisons we were after both Keane and Siggudson.  Walsh is not free of blame here.  As for Koeman don't like him as a person arrogant Dutchman but his previous record in the premier league suggests he is a good manager.

Walsh can do no wrong for some FTers. He never made a bad buy and only found gems really cheaply.

Everton's bad position can't be anything to do with him which is why they want to bin him so quickly. Siggurdsson sums it all up for me.

Koeman is better than many on offer - coleman for example - but I'd prefer Pellegrini of all those touted whom haven't yet turned us down.

Laurent Blanc still my first choice.

You say that but as the manager arnt you the goto guy that speaks to the recruitment team and says... 'Hey guys we need a striker' You may not be able to put your foot down and say NO dont sell a certain person, but you should be able to say IF you do sell, then at least get me an out an out replacement.

He's had a decent record apart from the the start of this season.

And wasn't the problem with this season that they bought too many new players?

Gary fuching Neville had a better win rate at Valencia than Koeman did!!!   That's it -  a Gary Neville/Ryan Giggs team-up?  Jamie Carragher as DoF.

I hate to say it but Everton are probably a bigger draw for most potential managers.  I'm pretty sure Everton wanted rid before we got first dibs on the best available managers.

Bollocks

Yeah. And we play them on their dead cat bounce. Annoying.

And they've taken our head of recruitment, our prime summer signings and now probably our first choice of next manager. They're starting to annoy me.

It's 9 games and Walsh is as much to blame for the poor signings. Koeman was excellent for them last season they just royally screwed up their transfer approach this summer.

Really think Walshes stock has dropped this season.

Although I think him and Koeman were at logger heads over all potential signings you can tell looking at the transfers they are split 50/50 for signings each has made.

So you'd rather have us spend 105million on Pickford Keane and siggy? **** Steve Walsh he's killed Everton this season

And when the Hammers lose their manager we'll probably lose our second choice as well ...   Fingers out !

I hate this mentality. I think we've achieved enough recently to expect to at least compete with clubs like West Ham and Everton, we've won more major trophies than both of them in the past 20-25 years and we have progressed further in the Champions League then they ever will, probably.

To be fair one of them is a future England Number 1. One of them has potential to be an international class CB and the other is a proven creative midfielder in the Premier League season after season, its not Siggurdsons fault he’s playing alongside Wayne Rooney habitating similar positions and who is the absolute death of any creative player around him because of his habit to come deep and demand to be at the centre of everything.

As a scout, he's not a scout anymore and he's less experienced than rudkin and put his club in the relegation zone with a worse looking team than ours. But yeah sod it let's get him back, let's get Brian little too while we are at it just all on sentiment

If he was that good at his job he wouldn't have spent 45million on a player when Rooney is going to be first choice for that position, and 60million for 2 players based on potential? Pickford will not be England number 1 ahead of butland or Hart, Keane looks shocking so far, he may settle in he may not. The way we are moaning about 25mil for kelichi based on potential we would have gone into meltdown after spending 30 on Keane giving the performances he has been

All in all rudkin has proved to have signed better players than Walsh, and if it wasn't for sporting ****ing us over with Silva we would be in a far far superior position

Walsh is proving pretty useless at that role
