The more I think about Koeman the more I'm coming round to the idea to be fair to @AKCJ . Still worried about him being able to impose his style on a team that needs a reboot.

lifted*fox Posted 23 October 2017 Posted 23 October 2017 not quite sure why anyone is interested in Koeman. he's not inspiring at all - think it's pretty disgusting how little effort he's shown on recent match-days at Everton. we need someone with a good tactical mind but I think our players also need a badass who's going to stand on the touchline and hurry them up at times. Koeman seems happy to sit there slumped in his seat and watch his team fall apart. I seriously don't see him being the guy to bring unity and drive back to our players, not one bit.

winteriscoming Posted 23 October 2017 Posted 23 October 2017 Whatever you think of koeman I think we should be at least interested in him. This is a manager who in the last 3 seasons has finished above 8th. He ticks most of the boxes - Prem exp, euro exp and a name to attract players.

They aren't bad players, they have just looked like bad players under him. Maybe it's his system, maybe it's him, maybe it's bad luck and they're all out of form at the same time but if most of your signings look shite, you have to take the bulk of the responsibility (I'm aware you said he had to take some of the blame). Maybe it's just a gut feeling but I don't want him.

Sometimes that the best way to make a decision ... and although overall his career has been impressive I too would say no at the moment ... failure like that can change a man and stop them believing in themselves.

STUHILL Posted 23 October 2017 Posted 23 October 2017 He's a decent manager who just got the recruitment wrong this summer. Would definitely have him here but it will be too soon for him I fear. He'll take a few months no doubt. Can see West Ham being his eventual club if Bilic holds on a little longer. Think Everton will go after Dyche and Howe. Maybe Pellegrini too but have a feeling they will go British and long-term. Would be surprised if Koeman would join us so soon but I'd be happy. Him or Pelegrini would certainly bring a different style and approach.

My first thought was no way, but I think there are far far worse options. Wouldn't be my ideal candidate for the reasons I've mentioned in my other posts, but a step up on quite a few names.
