Stadt Posted 23 October 2017 Posted 23 October 2017 He’s had an esteemed managerial career with a few questionable stints. The failing at Everton this season is mostly due to their recruitment. I’m not a fan of the phrase but the last few seasons they’ve been almost a one man team and overly reliant on Lukaku they failed to replace him with a similar striker. Instead, they have technical but not particularly dynamic players and without Lukaku’s pace and directness they’re languid upfront. I have no idea about how much of a say Koeman has or had on their recruitment but the rumours suggested that he and Walsh fell out so you’d imagine Koeman was unhappy with at least some or lack of their signings. Judging his managerial ability on what he’s done at Everton is short sighted.

Yep. He's got a massively inflated opinion of himself as a manager. Pretty sure he was quoted last week as saying he expects Holland to go for him and he'll turn them down. I'd be amazed if he comes here. He'll see himself as above us. It won't happen.

We have undoubtedly one of the best wingers in the world (Mahrez) an England and Algerian International striker and numerous other top young players- Gray, Chilwell etc we have Silva to come in and to what is already a great squad. i propose we look at these managers Alf Ramsey Brian Clough Bob Paisley Bill Shankley and if we can't get any of them then Sean Dyche

Personally, I think he's finished as a manager and has run out of ideas. As for the last part of your statement, that's just plain fearmongering. Remember when Ranieri came along and the majority was either baffled or completely underwhelmed? Have you taken a look at the Ligue 1 table lately? Nantes are now in third spot... Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 I was thinking this could be a good match, but then I read that he wasn't a particularly compassionate manager, quite cold with his players, not the arm round the shoulder sort of guy and we have a lot of confidence players that need an arm round the shoulder not a cold dissection of every mistake they made.
