Burnley (H) Match Thread

I think we needed Slimani today as I can't remember the last goal we scored against them that wasn't from a cross, must be the year we won the championship.

If we struggle today then Puel really will have to hold his hands up about Okazaki.

Some concern on the Burnley forum that pace may be the key to unlock their defense.  Puel certainly maximizing pace and width in today's XI.  Gig em !!

Good advice when no condoms available.

I’ve noticed Puel tends to mix the bench up each game I don’t know if it’s tactical or to keep players happy but he last bench included Amartey and Slim this time Ulloa and Nacho

Not sure what the plan is but it would piss me right off. On the bench get 2mins most of that just to run the clock down. So no chance to prove your worth then get dropped.

Sounds a great moral boosting tactic.

Good God I hope Gray and mahrez pass to each other.

I am fed up with gray.  He could become a good player. .. but he needs to swallow his attitude and work on his game.  When he comes on as a sub he is against tired defender. ... he has less impact when he starts.

Right... now he can prove me wrong

Ulloa for Slim? mind boggling but hopefully he doesn't come on

Like I say I’m not sure just something I’ve noticed unless he’s doing it to get s better look at all of the squad in a match scenario.

Was not having a go at you. I was just pointing out how it could make players feel.

Perhaps Slim is on his way out in Jan. Wouldn't surprise me.

Watford want him. We'll regret it if Vardy gets injured and we have to rely on Iheanacho or Ulloa.

Not convinced with this.. neither Albrighton or Mahrez are much good in the 10 position. Slim was MOTM the last time we played Burnley at home. And we've yet to be consistently any good without Okazaki.

think it's pretty much nailed on, regarding the Ben Arfa rumours I read that the idea is for him to fill in Slimani's role as backup

Or ....on the  other hand, you have to hold your hands up.....

Not noticing Puel, is still learning about his squad, keeping the core, but looking at 1-3 positions and bench.

Another negative even before Kick-off.....and you still maintain and have the audacity to use "flair".....:P
