Had a season ticket during the O'Neill years and used to follow quite a convoy back down the A47 after home games. There are quite a few of us out East.

I don’t know why but I always assumed you were quite young, certainly not old enough to follow City in the O’Neill years.

Sadly, a lot of people seemed to get killed at night now, far too many stories of it over the last 18 months or so.

Quite a few incidents recently had occurred around the Belgrave Gate area.

Moved away in ‘96 mate so just before the baths closed by the look of it!

 

Wow, time flies. I’ve been back since to Fosse Park and the KP occasionally but obviously haven’t been back into ‘town’ for ages.

 

Sounds like I wouldn’t recognise it now. Should take a trip back soon really for old times sake!

Ha! That was my first concern when I came back. I mean, I love Japanese food but I really pine for a fry-up sometimes. I get a six tin pack of baked beans sent over about three times a year and they disappear pretty quickly (just like Ringo when The Beatles went to India).

 

I ended up going to that place on the corner opposite MacDonalds at the end of Market Street - really nice full breakfast and not too pricey. That was nearly two years ago (saw the WBA 2-2) so I don't know if they're still open.
