We *want* to root for him, he just isn't a very good player. Definitely not Premier League quality. Also, he is on a yellow, that late challenge in stoppage was a stupid decision. He is at risk of being sent off. The guy basically got his pocket-picked which directly led to us allowing a goal, then he tried to finesse a shot he needed to crush. He has cost us two goals, effectively. Commentator is saying Man City have been dominant -- certainly not in the stretch of time after the goal, Leicester clearly were in control, we just happened to start a striker who should be playing in the Championship. The lads have grown into the game. 1
Webbo Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Hmm, not great. Ihenacho has been better than Okazaki but they're both feeding of crumbs. Problem is I can see Nacho getting sent off. Ulloa might be an option so we can go long.
Babylon Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Not going to be popular.... but I thought we weren't dreadful. 3
lcfcdamo Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Chilwell is a lb not lw its so easy to see gray on for him soon has possible think we could of beat this man city team full strength
somebum Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Jesus what a waste of money this Nacho chap is. Its like buying a salt and shake bag of crisps just to open it up and find no blue packet 1
Corky Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 What is Jakupovic doing in training that means Hamer is ahead of him?
Tielemans63 Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Frustrated. Can't help but feel out strongest side would be leading tonight.
Matt Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 (edited) They've been the better team but we've grew into the game, slowly. We still stand a chance - although need the bench to come into play. Played better than we did 1st half v Palace put it that way - not hard. Dragovic has alot to answer for, chickened out of a challenge for their goal. Edited 19 December 2017 by Matt
Kasey Keller Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Oky off chilly off Amartey off Vardy ulloa mahrez on at H/T not at 81 mins Puel. 2
bluesbrothers Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 We grew in that half, am I the only one reasonably happy with the performance? Made some good chances, Nacho man grew into the game, has been involved in some decent build-up play and had two decent shots on goal. Take the goal away and we've been defensively solid and been on top for the last 25 minutes. At this point, with it being a cup game, I'd move Amartey forward into a DMF role and go 3-5-2. I don't think Iborra and King have done a bad job all told, but they're clearly outnumbered. We need the extra legs, and when losing in an all-or-nothing game, we may as well have the extra legs pushed forward. Only downsides are a fairly absent Shinji and Albrighton's shots being hit and miss at best today. Maybe I'm mad, but if we come out second half with a bit more oomph, we could do these.
StanSP Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 took us 25 minutes to get in to the game then conceded. had a couple of half-chances and caused some dodgy moments for their defence but we definitely need to up the tempo a bit in the 2nd half. They're so vulnerable at the back and we have to exploit that to get any chance out of this game. I'd be inclined to bring one of Vardy Mahrez or Gray on at half-time or soon after to give their defence more things to think about. Mangala and Bravo need to be targeted. They're very quick on and off the ball which makes it difficult to work our way up the pitch. best way of getting at them has been quick balls over the top. Not surprised Iheanacho looks a bit rusty. If it was Puel's plan to use him today he should have given him some game time in the last couple of fixtures at least.

You have a short memory kid. ? Maybe a bit far, Col. Just tell him that you thought Cattermole would would fit at the time, and you still think that’s right (not that I agree with that! ?)
TheGhost Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 I bet Puel will wait for the last 10 mins to bring in Vardy and Mahrez . 1
Benguin Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 A bit of creativity going forward and we would be in this. Mahrez or gray on please
Vacamion Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Not abject. A bit dispiriting to see us pass it sideways 15 times and not be able to escape our half. But we had chances.
The Guvnor Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 One decent foray forward which ended in nacho's backpass , finding it difficult to find an outball , set pieces look our best opportunity.
Eagle10 Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 I agree with what some said about Slimani. I think Leicester will miss him, and regret selling him.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Madley is the footballing equivalent of a tub of lard.
Guest Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 an understandably disjointed first half. We've not looked much worse than them and probably deserve to be level. whoever said Fuchs has never been skinned hopefully saw the three skinnings in the first 15 minutes. Our passing is our worst part of the game. Still every chance of a win here. I'm still very hopeful. A goal for us early in the second is important.
foxfanazer Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 Albrighton putting in some dangerous crosses but absolutely nobody willing to impose themselves in the box. Nothing going right for Iheanacho and Fuchs is utterly dreadful. Hamer might be the dressing room joker but he’s not good enough for us
StriderHiryu Posted 19 December 2017 Posted 19 December 2017 We got done by a very good goal. We looked nervous at the back. But otherwise I think we’ve looked very good! A highly enjoyable match with both teams knocking it around and I feel we are unlucky not to score. It’s winnable but equally we could concede more. Just remember this might be there “weaker” team but you’ve got players who have played for Dortmund, Barcelona and Monaco there with a Brazil international up front! With Vardy and Mahrez on the bench all is not lost! COYB!

We are still in this and a few tweaks and we will do these chumps. Agreed - we had a bit of a slump 10-20 mins in but the last 15 minutes we've created a lot of good opportunities, if we start the 2nd half in the same vein we should be equal before long. Just hoping we make positive subs before it's too late. 2
