Unfortunately not. We’ve spoke to several specialists in this field (our vets were very helpful in this tbf) and whilst there are options that would allow him to stay with us for longer, he’d always be living in a lot of pain before he’d eventually lose the ability to eat. I even posted on Reddit to see if any vets further afield than the uk had any experience of this but based on the severity of his infection nothing other than short term fixes were offered.

I'm sorry to hear that.  As Countryfox said, you did everything you could.

Sorry to hear this mate.

One of the toughest but most important things about being a dog owner is knowing when to make these kind of decisions. You don't want him to suffer. He's had a great life and has only known love and that is how you want to remember him.

Really struggling since I lost Code.  Miss him like mad.  I've been sorting through all the photos from our adventures over the years, there are literally thousands.  I can't resist posting a few here of happier times :)

Been looking at puppies this week as I don’t think any of us can be without a dog, everywhere feels empty. When did the prices sky rocket? Looking at almost 2k for a beagle, we paid 600ish last time round which seemed the going rate 10 years ago

Maybe coronavirus? I think a lot of people have now got dogs that maybe wouldn’t of, if it wasn’t for the pandemic,
