I have this horrible feeling that this is the best that it's gonna get.  We will look back and say remember when we had Maguire, Mahrez, Vardy and N'Didi all in the same team?

I hope I'm wrong and we can build on what we've got but I think it is inevitable that our best players will get snaffled.

Same here

I'm getting sick and tired of reading news that other so called big premiership clubs want to buy our players. Now Everton want Jamie Vardy, seems like Steve Walsh scouting method isn't genius after all. Southampton were interested in Theo Wilcott first and Walsh moved for him after, Newcastle were interested in Cenk Tosun and he then ends up at Everton.

Man City prepared to pay £60 million for Harry Maguire , why didn't Pep buy him when he was at Hull, seems he's only interested in him when he's becoming a great player with us and in the England squad.

Way of the world sadly! It could be worse...ask Southampton fans!

I suppose in one sense it's a good thing, It's been a long  time since we had players coveted by other Clubs. It means we've come a long way since the dark days of administration.

What I'd really like to see and hear is the Owners coming out and saying our top players are not for sale. This would put a stop to a lot of Clubs thinking we're a pushover. It would also stop a lot of the poaching that continues to happen.

Another thing that shouldn't be allowed is Managers making statements about players at other Clubs, Trying to  unsettle the players in the process.

The League should step in and stop this behavior.

Obviously didn’t spend enough in the summer to fail as miserably as they have so their thought is let’s lump a few more Million at players instead of getting the squad of players they’ve paid millions for to play to their potential and play together instead of thinking Rooney can bail them out week in week out !!

And then you’ve got Andy Carrol refusing to train With West Ham because there’s a slight rumour Chelsea will come in for him, But we’ve come a long way to think we have players now being touted for stupid amounts as per Mahrez to near £100m who would have thought we would have players worth that much a few years ago ?

Vards won’t leave in January especially to the toffees !!

Can't see him playing for another club in this country. Think he mentioned an interest in playing over in the sates or China. Would imagine that'll only happen towards the end of his career. He'll stay a fox for sometime yet. :scarf:

Walcott went to Everton to win trophies he must be on the same drugs that Merson was on.

Apparently Rooney convinced him that Everton was the place to go !!!

Absolutely no chance he goes there. Joke of a club at the moment. Think there’s probably only 3 clubs in the league he’d contemplate going to, Man City, United and Chelsea

Why do people talk in strange tenses when it comes to football?

"No chance he goes there"

Why cant people speak properly and say

"No chance he will go there"

Like when people talk about referees and say things like "if he sees that he gives that"

Why dont people say if he had seen that he would have given that? Or if he saw that?

Just find it strange.

Wasnt to dig YOUR post out just why people do this in general only about football?

I would be very surprised if Vardy left Leicester, he is now 31 and if he went elsewhere he would be a bench warmer imo,

Bold Prediction time: Jamie Vardy will stay at leicester for a couple more years, He will eventually run out of steam (around the age of 34) and drop down the pecking order, Fleetwood will be a Championship club by then, he will return there and spend his final professional season as a Fleetwood player.

Wasnt a Walcott swap touted as part of the deal to get Vardy to Arsenal at the beginning of last season ? Believe Walcott wasnt keen !..wouldnt want him here now anyway.  How times have changed.

We need to kick on ...at the moment we are the biggest club outside of the London/Manchester/Liverpool axis...expand the stadium to 40K...get European football on a regular basis..dont let it slip away, this is too big an opportunity to miss
