How many points in the last 11 matches to make you sold on Puel?

Anyone genuinely wanting to give him the sack needs to re-evaluate. We need some stability. We need some fresh faces (player wise). We need to get to a consistent level. It will probably take time but you can see how managers who have been given a decent amount of time have flourished like Spurs/Burnely. Arsenal have probably given theirs too much time to be fair though.

Agree that a period of stability is whats needed.  I'm sure the owners are  veryhappy with Puel.  They are not dumb enough to dream of sacking someone who still has us in a cup and a point from 7th with a real prospect of European football.

Totally agree, we need more technical players who are comfortable on the ball that would suit his style of play. The only downside is we might turn into Newcastle a few years back with a team of Frenchmen!

imo the club should develop a style & the first team coach become interchangeable to a certain extent.

Vardy's pace won't last forever & Mahrez will probably be going in the summer, there's a high chance we'll miss their directness & pace, they are also difference-makers which are exceptionally rare, especially to a team outside the big boys... without that we might become accomplished at retaining possession in our own half but not be able to break through the final 1/3rd leading to a lack of goals

Letting Slimani leave after Ulloa had already left was bizarre imo as is hi fascination with James over Iborra

Till the end of the season he needs to tighten the defence, or show us that he at least has a clue of how to do so... and maintain our current style of possession & direct fast transitions

When I read comments like "the title win has gone to their heads" I automatically just think it's further condescension and typical of the rubbish I hear people talk about us.

But then I read comments from our fans saying that we should sack him on the back of a decision he got wrong against one of the top sides in the world and I think maybe they had a point.

I'm already sold on Claude. Would like to see some shrewd recruitment in the summer; once we have the right players who fit into the way he wants us to play I think we'll do well.

Already convinced that he'll take the club to the next era.

He's dealt with quite a few both on-field and off-the-field matters well recently in how he's explained them, and think he'll certainly learn for the better the performance at Man City.

Just needs to adopt more better, fluid tactics.

Will win a couple of trophies for the club imo.

Think tactically he’s very astute, but we lack players of quality to carry out those tactics.

A few fans favourites will probably move on, due to their lack of technical ability, and one dimensional part to their game, and are not gifted enough to adapt to other ways of playing, like the more technical controlled football puel is trying to implement.

Unbelievable isn't it?

Fighting for 7th place and a cup once in a blue moon is our glass ceiling realistically. Even though Puel has guided us to almost the summit of that it's still not enough for some people.

I do think in a way it hurts us losing to anyone now in theory more than it really should. We were champions more recently than Manchester City and every loss to someone like them is a reminder of how things have gotten a bit worse.

But I do think there's a lack of realism at times. I absolutely want us to build to eventually break into that top six, but it's a huge ask with the money they're all throwing around. We need to be clever.

I am very interested to see who he brings in. Pretty much a given Mahrez is gone, can call me mad but I even think Vardy will consider a move in the summer.

You're mad!

A refreshing summer breeze would need to greet the residents of hell before I want yet another new manager. We have a young team. And we have a manager who's good at building youth prospects. Give him two years at least, ideally three. As long he's developing our youth, developing our tactics and he keeps us up I'm happy.

If he doesn’t get 33 points then I’m afraid he has to go!

lol

Did you forget about the FA Cup? He has to win every game from now on. Oh and we have to SMASH spuds away.

pressure will be there if there isn't 6 points from next 2 games, owners will and can see a good shot at Europe is being from away.

who are people kidding puel wont be sacked if we finish 10th or below he might at the end of the season

It wont be so easy to forget benching Silva and Iborra in favor of Matty James, the shocking team selection and turgid performance against a team which lacked quality but unlike us showed some guts and was even close to a win. To me Puel almost willfully shared points with Stoke. If we somehow manage to get to Europe all will be forgiven but I'm starting to have very serious doubts about the gaffer

This calendar year has been worrying tbh.

I've said previously that if we don't get 7th up against Burnley and a Sam Allardyce side then I won't have confidence in him.

Some very strange decisions recently.
