No one gives too much of a monkey about the FA Cup anymore. Also the opposition doesn't help, if it was a 'top 6' side it would have sold more tickets. Also being a Friday night in half term wouldn't help either, lots go away this week.

On Friday Nights under the lights......

Half term. Opposition. The fact we treat the competition like a reserve game despite being in no danger of relegation etc all don't help.

And have you encountered the motorway network on a Friday. Add in the rest of the UK will be haing held term next week meaning loads of people trying to get away Friday after school.

Anyone wishing to travel most be mental.

It’s just a reflection of how low the FA cup is viewed by everyone these days sadly. What I don’t understand though is how we sold out the last couple of league cup matches this season which really is a toy cup!

Does that mean we'll have similar difficulty shifting Wembley tickets if we make it to the semi-final and final? ;)

Of course if we get to Wembley everyone and their Grandmother will want a ticket but you just have to look at all the grounds in the cup this past few years and there’s empty seats everywhere. It’s been loosing its magic as a competition for years sadly and the FA don’t seem to give a damn

Just had a look and we've sold about 23,000

Don't think that's bad at at all, add in next couple of days and Sheffield and attendance won't be far off 30k.

They've only just gone on general sale, plenty of ST holders still to buy so they can sit with none ST holder friends and family.

just cant afford it, something had to give and the cups were it. Going to every home and some away days in the league is enough, but cant afford to do the cups as well. And to be honest if we make the semis i dont think i would go either.

Should sell out, 2 more games and a game I have dreamed about since I was a kid in 1969, I’ve been to all the play offs & League Cup finals at Wembley but the FA Cup is so special. Stood at Old Trafford & the replay at Villa Park in the 70s and at Villa Park in the 80s...:scarf:

That's a factor which is well overestimated - there's barely a Leicester fan who doesn't want us to go for it this season.

What we're underestimating is that £20 against Sheffield United (with no disrespect intended) really isn't that great an offer to get a non-STH to turn out on a Friday night. We sold out the League Cup games you mentioned precisely because tickets were cheaper.

If we'd have given Sheffield United the full allocation they requested, that would have upped the gate a fair amount too - believe we've only offered them a normal league allocation?

I’m sure there will be a stream for the game, just maybe not in English.

Its on in Ireland so there should be an England stream.
