Only while Liverpool try patch things up , but it looks like he is finished there

According to reports in his native Bosnia, he‘s in negotiations with Arsenal as Wenger‘s successor.

Marcelo Gallardo for me.

He's touted as the next great Argentine manager who favours a high pressing game so that will keep the players and fans happy.

He's been at River Plate for four years so is ready for a big European move.

Sorry, but you need to check your glasses.

A club like Leicester is unlikely to play Champions League football again in the decades to come. 7th is what we realistically can strive for, unless one or more Top Six teams magically underperform massively during a season.

Before we can even dream of playing in Europe again, there's many different construction sites at the club right now that need our attention.

It's a limiting belief that way of thinking, team spirit and an organised team can go a long way, the owners are ambitious an are prepared to spend big, aim for 7th an you'll finish 10th aim for 4th an you have a fantastic chance of finishing 6th or 7th. Look at Burnley this season.

We won't repeat the 2015/16 season for a while now, if at all. That has nothing to do with *limited thinking", that's the reality of the Premier League.

And the owners won't continue to spend "big" if our recruitment continues to be flawed or mediocre at best.

We had a fantastic chance of finishing 7th this season, now look at us.

Managers who have done a better job in the Premier League?

I wonder whether Roberto Martinez would be up for another challenge over here. I guess a lot depends on how Belgium fare at this year's World Cup.

Slaven Bilic always came across as competent and eloquent in his interviews.

Brendan Rodgers

We need to poach a decent manager rather than play nicely and give someone out of work a run, just spend the money, we seem happy to blow it on crap for the playing field so why not use the money to tempt someone half decent who can command respect and at least be capable of getting us to shoot within 45 minutes. I appreciate that’s it’s not that simple but chuffing hell we pay people £100,000’s to sort these things out.

Not my cup of tea. Failed somewhat at Watford (13th in 2015-16) and failed at Espanyol recently. In no way, shape or form better than Puel.

I was looking at previous PL managers and their records. Martinez, Bilic and Rodgers are good communicators - Martinez and Bilic speak way better English than Puel - and have achieved quite a bit with their teams in this league. They're all also about ten years younger and in my eyes, have thus more energy, motivation and more to prove in the game.

Pearson was out of work when we first got him and so was Ranieri, they did not do so bad.

Did anyone watch the nbcsn stream 2day? I noticed the one & only MON in the stands. What about him & Keano as coach. Reckon he’d defo sort that dressing room out.

Roy Keane would definitely sort a few of them out.

Why would Roberto Martinez leave the Belgium national job for Leicester? why would you walk out of one of the best national squads in the world? especially when at the end of his Everton reign, they hated him and they were leaking goals everywhere?

Bilic had one good season with West Ham and the moment he lost Payet, they were absolutely shit. Its nothing to do with moving to a stadium thats better and twice as big, he spent loads of money on utter crap like Zaza, Calleri, Gokhan Toure, Feghouli was crap etc etc. His West Ham team this season were widely acknowledged as unprepared and unfit.

Brendan Rogers is an egotistical maniac who wont magically make Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling appear in Leicester shirts, nor make all the competition disappear like in Scotland, and he plays short passing football which is exactly what we want to avoid.

So all in all those three are terrible shouts.

... in your opinion.

All three have had bigger impacts in the Premier League than Puel, speak a better English and

it's not unrealistic for Martinez to quit Belgium, the World Cup will be a big decider and our owners (still) have money to show for

it's not unrealistic for Bilic to make an impact at another Premier League club, just like he did in his first season at West Ham

it's not unrealistic for Brendan Rodgers to rediscover his Premier League mojo or establish a style of play that suits us, short passing football or not

Besides, what's the thread called again?

Who thought we'd sign Ranieri? Stranger things have happened.

Name a better option than Puel is the title of the thread.

Why didnt you go the whole nine yards and say Guardiola, Zidane, Ferguson, Mourinho

All better than Puel, and all better than suggesting names that are either equally as unrealistic, unsuitable, or just plain crap like Bilic, who is the reason West Ham were down the bottom of the Premier League this season.

Whom would you appoint as Puel's successor?

My quote function doesnt work for some reason.

Id appoint Sam Allardyce if i could for next season.

He has a proven record of keeping teams up. Teams who have been garbage. We have a garbage team. He would make us at the very worst solid at the back, and he would play a more direct style of football, which a lot of people want and is the only style our players can play with a modicum of competency . And I believe next season, we will need someone who will keep us up and hes a specialist in it.

He would give absolutely zero fvcks about characters in the dressing room, what theyd done in the past and thinking this gives them a right to undermine the manager or have a free lunch, and he would give zero fvcks about peoples thoughts sitting in the stands as well. All things we need at this club.

And by the time he has steadied the ship, then maybe we can move on from there.
