A few ciders in Spot on, Loughborough. 

 

It was great seeing the place completely packed out in midweek.

 

There must be about 20 tables for pool and snooker and every single one was in use, plus all the dart boards.

There’s a new micro pub opening there soon opposite the library which’ll be serving some of Charnwood brewery’s finest.

Couple of mates of mine make these beer advent calendars every year, so it’s been 24 days of sensational beer for me. DIPAs from the US, Cantillon lambics, barrel-aged stouts etc. Not gonna lie, it feels kind of empty now that it’s over, but probably a good thing really int it

A variety of different drinks in tonne, very nice. Been in town loads this week whilst home and it’s so noticeable how quiet it is. Kinda think at Xmas in 10 years time I’ll be wistfully thinking of what we used to have whilst working through a boarded up city centre

I no longer drink but I went in the Real Ale Classroom tonight with some friends (great to see an AF on keg) and thought it was okay but the whole place felt a bit...wet? I don't think how they're circulating heat / cold in there is quite right at the minute.
