Disgusting, or just business?

Read the article and the most disgusting thing is they seem to think Aston Villa, Sunderland, Hull and QPR are Premier League teams.

It is sad though and we seem to be one of the worst.

£250 I was quoted for my nipper, I will also point out that she is deaf and loves the club so so much , this was out of my budget and it was for a a cup game that was a pittance to get into ! Disgusting doesn’t cover it

edit: I blocked out the staff members name as it’s isnt their fault

Shamefull really. Can't believe people pay it mind. If they stopped, it would stop.

Like most things tho it won't because there will always be someone willing to pay it. I guess i would for my lad to have the chance but I can't afford that sort of price. But someone else will. 1 because they want to give their child a memory or spoil him.

2 because someone will have the money.

I went Chelsea away this season and decided not to take my lad, as i wanted a day with some beers and didn't fancy dragging him round london.

When I got home after the weekend he was very excited to tell me his mate had been to the same game and got him a programme.

I opened the programme to discover a team sheet. Clearly this boys dad who has a few quid had paid for hospitality in the home end.

Great for him I suppose but just goes to show people have money to burn and that that's all the modern day clubs want. Happy to take anyone's money when it's really a drop in the ocean to them.

My lad was a mascot when we played west brom in the league cup a few years back and i think shortly afterwards was when they started charging. Mind you, they spent most of the day at the ground, and came back with a shed load of freebies, probably not 600 quids worth though!

To be honest, no.

I was a JFM since I could remember and never got picked as a child. Gutted.

These packages include taking their mates and family  I believe so its a good deal.

No it doesn’t buddy ! Parents and one sibling , value ? Really a half months salary for the average man , and that’s value , good for you mate genuinely good on you if that’s value your in a better position than most on here , not being flippant that’s genuine

Shocking and i'm quite saddened that the club charge anything at all!

What I'm equally shocked about is that people are paying it - madness

£250 for an FA cup game against League One opposition? It's an absolute disgrace to be honest. The club is continuing to lose touch with their local core support.

We used to support a football club. That's now secondary.

We have a 'matchday experience'. That lexical shift has allowed for this. It happens 'cause ya let it.

Wrong on every level mate.

It cost us parents a fortune to follow football, with kits, season tickets, away days, etc.

For the amount of money it creates is nothing to clubs but a lot to parents, and leaves the special experience to the privileged kids, or skints those who have a limited income, and adds to the way football is becoming a middle class sport to watch.

It should be open free to any child season ticket holder who puts their name forward, and names picked at random.

Man City don't charge and do it for make a wish kids and local community children. They can afford to but it does at least uphold the spirit of it all...

Some clubs charge the money but state that the kids must turn up in full kit.... so you have to visit the club shop first to be bent over the counter as your £600 doesn't cover a childs kit....
