Brilliant spirited performance but we are quality and should look at these games and we should have won.

I see your point but his situation is different in how he wants to leave the club.

He wouldn’t accept less than 100k a week,

i mean,how will he feed his kids and put a roof over there head on such a small salary:blink:

Full backs aren't really expected to cross.  Danny Simpson is a good fullback but a poor wing back.  If Puel persists with these tactics then we need two wingbacks, rather than fullbacks.

Unfortunately they are still upgrades on what we have and realistic. I'd be surprised if Spurs sold Trippier to us but no doubting his quality. I think that ship sailed a while ago.

Would love Swansea and Southampton to go down and go in for Naughton and Bertrand. 

Simpson genuinely can't kick a ball. I don't know if it's hilarious or frustrating. Both, really.

I don't see the point in citing assists as an important factor in a full-back's game?

 

It's about defending and providing link-up play going forward, nothing else. If you manage to chip in an assist or (behave) even a goal, good on you.

But those are not the main selling points.

one of the points of this thread is regarding fullbacks that can cross, that stat somewhat proves his crossing isn't that great.

oh no doubting that, but for the unrealistic wants of some of our fans I think they'd be bitterly disappointed if they ever played a game for us.

Simpson's dogshit but I think Chilwell is alright. His crossing is hit or miss, but I find the crosses are improving.

 

Do not buy Luke Shaw. 3 managers have critisized his attitude and he looks like he lives off kebabs

Both, particularly Simpson have defo been encouraged to get forward more under Puel, but their delivery is absolutely garbage. Simpsons is beyond embarrassing for a modern day Prem full back. He's a fine defender, but attacking wise utterly woeful. Sorry Danny I can not lie!!

Has Chilwell ever made a decision in his life?  So frustrating today watching him take a player on, shy away from a cross and pass short into a corner.
