Just bought a medium fries and had a Park Lane sticker. With Mayfair it's worth 100k apparently. I take it there's thousands of Park Lanes and then just a few Mayfairs or have I got a rare sticker?

My hopes are not set high :D

As a guess, I would assume there will be as many Mayfair stickers as there are hundred grand prizes...so one or two?

Correct, there's one of each set which is the tough one to get.

Collecting 10 stickers and exchanging them for a now tv pass is the best thing to do

Blasphemy!

Not at all.

I see huge queues for the McDonalds drive through in Wigston and I think, why?

It's supposed to be fast, convenience food. Queuing for 10-15 mins (and incidentally, causing massive traffic jams) is neither fast or convenient. So I guess people are doing this as a "treat".

Bizarre.

I don't rate McDonald's (besides their coffee and breakfasts) but I am much more tempted to visit if the Monopoly is on, even though I only ever "win" porridge or fruitbag

Of all the things to like in McDonald's, the coffee? How strange

Chief of security Jerome P. Jacobson[3] was able to remove the most expensive game pieces, which he then passed to associates who would redeem them and share the proceeds. The associates won almost all of the top prizes between 1995 and 2000, including McDonald's giveaways that did not have the Monopoly theme. The associates netted over $24 million.

I'm sure things have been improved 18 years later considering the sub-contractors are no longer associated with the company and the flaw back then I presume has been rectified for current competitions...

Only go to McDonald's very occasionally, as the quality of their hot apple pies and the taste of the strawberry milkshake are never inconsistent and thus just normally buy them if I decided go.

Anything else like their fries and burgers etc are a case of luck in terms of quality (you don't know, especially if it's meat etc, how long it's been left in the open air etc affecting that can affect the taste of the product).

As an ex-employee I used to fvcking dread this time of year. Smartarses ordering their food, you telling them the price, then them promptly shaking their head and saying "No mate, I've got a voucher for that" with a pathetic expression of achievement which then appeared on their face as if they'd a) actually achieved something and b) been the first person to announce that to you all shift.

You then had to go and get a swipe card from a manager to unlock your till and change the order so it was the right price, leading the voucherjockey getting all the more pissed off with you because they were getting held up while you went through all this and your manager getting pissed off with you because the queue behind said voucherjockey was getting longer.

That said, I did used to nick the used vouchers sometimes and give them to my mates - so at least someone got to benefit from my hardship.

You'd be surprised how many people do that kind of thing. It was probably 50/50 in terms of customers following correct procedure, but that's irrelevant when the "customer's always right".

McDonald’s coffee is good tbf but it ain’t gonna do the job like a Big Mac n 20 nuggets would after a hard sesh on the ale.

Agreed. That level of diarrhea I find really clears me out to the point I can sometimes exercise the following day.
