Isn't the club's official Instagram just @lcfc?

It's not real. It's the clubs old Instagram username and there's obviously been sort of error with the verified tick staying put.

Leicestershire Live are reporting a factor that might make Maddison more likely to choose us.  He is in a business venture with (ex-) fellow Cov player Conor Thomas (now at Cheltenham), to Coach kids in Coventry.  I wonder whether Conor is any relation to George Thomas - they didn't mention that.  Even if George is not related to Maddison's partner, there's obviously a Cov connection between them - I don't know if they played together.

It is reported Maddison wants to move back closer to Coventry, which would make a deal with us more likely.

George is no relation to Conor Thomas - he was born in Leicester, Conor in Cov.  Maddison did play with George though - they're both the same age and went through all the Coventry Youth and U21 teams together - they even played 2 seasons together in the Cov first team.  If George is not too pi**ed off with not getting a start by Puel last season, he might put a good word in for us !

We can hope so for sure

this Maddison chap looks a real prospect

Someone who can actually keep a free kick on target would be a real bonus. not much to think about really.

He's young, English,Can play wide or inside, can take a free kick. We need to get this done.

Assuming we sell Mahrez, Maddison would be my final signing realistically

Who would be your 3 behind Vardy then? Or attacking players?

Depends who else we sign and I would imagine horses for courses as In away at Man City we will play different formation to at home against Brighton for example

Still need another signing if we get Pereira, Evans and Maddison IMO and that's without replacing any unexpected departures.

I'd happily start the season with this team. The full backs giving us all our attacking width and Ndidi holding, Grealish and Maddison playing narrower supporting the full backs when required but dominating the centre looking for through balls to Vardy.

                          Vardy

       Grealish Iheanacho Maddison

                   Ndidi   Silva

Chilwell    Evans    Maguire   Pereira

                    Schmeichel

Would like us to sign this lad whether we sell Mahrez or not, just got a feeling he would be really good.

With or without Mahrez we are crying out for a creative midfielder!

There is a bit of smoke and mirrors with his injury.

Norwich and the agent are telling everyone he's fine and there's no problem. The England physios who know the player and the injury and are slightly more impartial have advised clubs interested to tread with caution.

Could explain the delay as Norwich and the player appear to get the deal done.

Yeah not gonna go into detail but I know they're good friends believe they played together in Covs academy from like 10 years old

Very thorough medical needed then. I imagine he is our first choice, with Grealish considered a potential back-up deal.

What a load of bollocks, why would the England physios get involved and tank a players move? None of their business. He'll have a medical at whatever club tries to buy him.

That side fills me with fear bloody awful

left side is rubbish and little proven creativity in the 3 behind vardy

hopefully the owners have a better plan

There's various u21 International games; including the Toulon Tournament that he may have been in contention for should he have been fit. The England physios would have assessed this to see if he was in any state for selection. People can then ask the England physios opinions prior to bidding to see the extent of the injury and if they'd want to make an assessment themselves

And why would the England physios provide this information, in breach of the players confidentiality and probably their international contract?

I think it was very obvious he wouldn't have been in for contention, never would have been ready in time. From what's been said a doubt about whether he would be ready for the start of the season, but as long as there's no lasting damage I dont think that's something we should be massively concerned about - he's a great long term prospect.

Simply suggesting what could go on behind the scenes. Our fitness coach used to work with the national squad at a younger level, so may have known people whom may have looked at Maddison.
C'mon you should surely know by just scrolling through one of these pages with the various ITK posters that people talk and say things that is probably against their contract.
