I think many people, myself included, had Everton to be ahead of us and then us to be the best of the rest. Burnley are the only shock.

8th is about right for us in terms of our squad and club size/spending power. Many fans just aren't happy with the style of play I am assuming and a missed chance to push for 7th and a European place.

We've been far from convincing at times and we should remain ambitious and hope for higher, but this vote is a good reminder to fans on what many predicted and us ultimately achieving that.

Still a decent chance of Leicester finishing 7th with Ben Mee likely to miss Burnley;s last 6 games. The defence is built around him - can see us conceding more than usual.

We've won the 3 matches that Mee has missed but 2 of those (Stoke at home & Watford away) were very fortunate.

It'd be standard Leicester for Mee's replacement to have the game of his life on Saturday and probably get a goal.

Results matter more than style to me.

Normally me too. But recent matches have been really poor. Next to no action at all. We nullify the opposition but at the cost of our own attacking threat. Leading to tense midfield battles with very few shots on target. It is like watching paint dry. It's also depressing watching some of the best attacking players in the league in Vardes and Mahrez be almost completely frozen out of a game by our style of play.

We have all kinds of remarks about how shit Burnley play and are lucky to be in 7th yet we are playing shit football & seem to be happy to be in 8th. I'm happy that we are not in the relegation race but the fact that we are in 8th does not atone for the poor product we are producing. League position obviously  is paramount but hoofing it to JV was easier to watch than this.

Haha it's as if you think our team is creative enough to actually seriously threaten to penetrate your defence. Oh just you wait.

I wouldn't say Burnley play shit football. Sure, they dig in and defend when they have to. But when they attack, they do it with conviction. That's the difference.

Seems about right lol

Yes but the other 80.49% believe that those voting for 8th had been lied to and didn’t actually know what they were voting for, Top Blair believes we can now reverse the decision and demand 1st again as this would be the most popular outcome... another vote is imminent.

It’s Burnley’s to lose now though and even if you stutter I don’t trust us to capitalise tbh.

Firstly..

I dont think Burnley have Been shit, thats just spiteful bias within some Posters  of this forum.

So to expectations, and the differing Scale of hopes and dreams, that all Fans have.

I have no expectations in what Position we finish, let the fate of the twists and turns in football decide

where the cards will fall.

My expectations,is for next season relevant to out performances. With or without Mahrez,or any other

transfer departure.I have defended Puel and the coaching set up,giving them carte blanche, for this

Season.I dont hope,I expect to see a vast improvement,in out matchday performances,better

coordination, commitment and intent. There has to be Seen that our rebuilding and evolving is

Moving forward. There will be slip ups and the odd dire moments,a run of AVG Form, what I again

expect that despite any poor form,we see visably a better consistent level of quality football.

If Next season we refind or discover a new ethos and character,to our play and through out

squad, that deliver top performances with energy and attitude, that would be More important,

than the final Position, because if Puel sets up our future, showing improved promise and potential,

top 10 should be there automatically, bringing  in its slipstream ambitious but achievable targets

of a chase for top 6.

Just improve the consistency and quality of our performances.

The hopes and dreams are simple...to be again a title contender, and have our name on a trophy,

the most difficult of all,is hoping that the negative and misery making Posters are proved wrong,

though accepting 1stly ,those performances do need to be on a upward spiral.

Measured success is easy to defend,Stagnation or half-hearted attitude, with turgid and dire, Constant

Post match companions, then even I would have to join the misery-train.

One More expectation...More shots on target, with higher scoring ratio.

Does the team even want to capitalise on a Burnley stutter?

Thats not a slight against the mentality of the team, if you had a choice of not going to work and going to work what would you choose?
