lcfc sheff Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 We'll rely more on the fullbacks to get involved, playing inverted wingers to play them in on the overlap. we need to be harder to beat, but more importantly rely on everyone pitching in attacking wise. 1
Ted Maul Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 By using the money to buy 2 creative players who are of the required standard to hit the ground running from the start- Ziyech and Hazard would be ideal. We've got enough players for the future who might turn out to be good enough in Gray and Diabate. 1
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 We won't be able to replace it. We need to find another way of playing. 3
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 Ziyech by a mile. He is a fantastic player, who would fit nicely into our current style of play.
Guest Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 I don't think we can ever replace Mahrez creative threat. I think this is the end of LCFC and we'll be playing non-league football (probably in outer mongolia) within 2 weeks.

I'm plastic and don't fancy the winters in Mongolia.

I said yesterday that I'm glad we have Pereira on the right over Simpson, he'll give us alot more attacking threat. Then we'll end up possibly with Gray, Diabete, Maddison? Ziyech? Roberts or another. I can see Puel phasing Albrighton out too, so could see a couple in Madison did do those passes in a league Gray, Diabate and Barnes would rip apart to be fair but for the age it's decent and I'll be gutted if we don't get him.

Gray only managed 8 goals and 2 assists in 55 championship games at roughly the same age as Maddison. 1
lgfualol Posted 28 May 2018 Posted 28 May 2018 Spend a **** load on a top class winger. Not convinced by our other options however Pereira will transform our right side.
nepa fox Posted 29 May 2018 Posted 29 May 2018 Ziyech would be a good start. But ultimately I feel we will need to be better defensively.
Iran Posted 29 May 2018 Posted 29 May 2018 Ziyech is good, but he's also highly demanded (linked today to AS Roma I believe)
Fightforever Posted 29 May 2018 Author Posted 29 May 2018 (edited) We should have gotten ziyech last year when we had a chance of buying him I saw somewhere that we enquired for him but we thought he wasn't worth 25m because we were chasing sigurdsson who was a safer option. Now all the top clubs in europe are chasing ziyech for nearly double. Edited 29 May 2018 by Fightforever

oldbluefox Posted 29 May 2018 Posted 29 May 2018 Not one who is such a great fan of Mahrez. He had a fantastic season when we won the Premiership but apart from flashes of genius he has been too inconsistent for my liking running himself into two or three defenders or trying to beat the same man over and over again and then losing the ball. Capable though he is he could be much better and a move to a bigger club will do him good. You never know which Mahrez is going to turn up. Hopefully we can bring somebody in who poses a threat week in, week out.
foxes21 Posted 30 May 2018 Posted 30 May 2018 First XI: Schmeichel Pereira, Maguire, Evans, New LB Silva, Ndidi Roberts, Maddison, Grealish Vardy Second XI: Jakupovic Simpson, Morgan, Benalouane, Chilwell Iborra, Choudhury Diabate, Barnes, Gray/Albrighton Iheanacho

lcfcsnow Posted 30 May 2018 Posted 30 May 2018 We’ll probably switch Albrighton to the right just because he’s right footed and expect it to work despite only ever having an effect on the left.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 30 May 2018 Posted 30 May 2018 I just hope we buy a established player like Ziyech rather than a french up and coming player!

This coming season will be difficult for him as the left side will be covered by a new signing and Diabate or another signing will cover the right. He will be viewed as a utility player and his game time will severely be reduced. His best position is on the right, as a wing back but how often will Puel utilise this as an option. For a player, having to play out of position, he has achieved a great deal of which I believe to be unappreciated. If you note the forums team selections no one includes him in the first XI...... I think he might be looking at a move next season and don't be surprised if it is the Villa.
