Why was the last thread in the transfers sub-forum deleted?

I understand it's currently not that likely we'll sign him for good, but it's not impossible.

The player's back at Bayer Leverkusen according to Bayer 04 DoF Rudi Völler and could return to the Premier League. The chances of him getting into the starting XI at Bayer are limited due to competition in the form of Tah, Bender and Retsos.

Apparently, we've not pulled the option to buy Dragovic, but continue to be interested.

So, less than £17m and he could be ours.

I have surmised that the old thread got deleted due to some inappropriate banter off topic.

I looked at the Thread yesterday and couldn't see anything near 'inappropriate'.

Madness not to sign him. Every time he played at centre back, he looked cool, calm and composed. In terms of the defensive work, he was actually better in his appearances than Maguire! Taking nothing away from Harry who is brilliant, but Drago is one of those underrated players that just gets the job done without any fuss.

I can only assume we have another target in mind as Puel's ideal first choice, and if that doesn't work out we will go back in for Drago. Seems like he wants another player who is good on the ball to build from the back, though I feel Drago wasn't bad at this at all.

18m for a player that has proved he can do the job and works with the current team seems like a more than fair price to pay. He's 27 which is a great age too, and younger than Johnny Evans.

I agree but he didn't get a look in last season so why would he want to even come back here, obviously Puel don't like him

I never understood why he got dropped , he formed a good partnership with maguire when wes got injured and as soon as wes came back he was on the bench, didnt we go 6 hours without conceding or something with drago and maguire at the back?

Maguire didn't play against Fleetwood, that was Benny and Morgan started the game against Huddersfield.

I doubt very much he is coming as he needs to be playing regularly to make the Austrian Team for the autumn qualifiers.  I gather he has had enough of sitting on the Bench watching Wes create space for the opposition.  He played very well against the Germans on Saturday night and deserves better.  Yet another screw up in the making by the Recruitment chaps.

I was. It was only a harmless bit of fun :giggle:

It was indeed harmless fun and long may it continue as so to distract Sheppy Fox from slitting his wrists if we do not sign anyone, anytime soon.

Is he going joining us next season, I'd be gutted if he went elsewhere, heard Southampton fans want him.

Very doubtful as been no mention of him, and would have thought he would have been first through the door if we wanted him.

Would still like another CB in but expect it will be someone else now, if anyone.

As for Drago, can see him staying in the Prem and getting a move to mid-table/lower club and starting every week. Fair play to him if he wants game time

I reckon he'd start for every club outside the top 5 tbh.
