England can still finish second with a draw, provided they earn five more yellows than Belgium tonight. Belgium lead 6-2 in that department right now.

I sense the English fans now caught somewhere in the middle between delusion („piece of cake“) and some kind of inexplicable grand fear, given the fact that it‘s probably never been easier to reach the semi-final than right now. Colombia, then Switzerland/Sweden and finally Spain, Croatia, Russia or Denmark...

 

On paper, it‘s all unfolding according to the Southgate Masterplan...
