I was going to comment earlier that I get really tired of the quasi racist "aww bless" condescension from the football media in this country towards Japan. 

 

Their players mostly all play in the top three leagues in the world, they play their club football against Real, Bayern, Man City etc. Nobody was patronising in tone talking about the Danish, all hardened pros, etc. Nevermind the fact they're fielding players from the Danish and Dutch leagues and the English second division.

 

Colombia have half their players playing for teams you've never heard of in South America, nobody's patronising them. 

 

Even now they're two nil up against pre tournament dark horses, the commentary team sound like they're giving them a pat on the head with every compliment.
