No it doesn't.  We're trying to trim the squad down.  We have Diabate and Gray, why another winger that is potentially no better than what we have.

Per 90 minutes he scored more and assisted more last season than any wingers we have at the club, his pass completion and key passes aren't a million miles off either and he didn't really get a decent run of games for Monaco. 

 

Ever the optimist but with a wee run in the team i think he could be decent. Would certainly prefer him to any of our current options on their form from last year.

Valid point but that could be looked at two ways and like I said, form comes with consistent game time. Something he didn't get last year. 

 

Gray and Albrighton and diabate got runs in the team, their form wasn't exactly consistent he didn't get much time on the pitch but appears to have chipped in with the little game time he did get. He didn't play much more than Diabate but his stats are far better.

Didn't someone say it's Puel that wants this lad but the club aren't keen? If that's the case then maybe the compromise is they bring him in and a "big name" winger. That could explain why Gray has apparently been playing in a more central striking role in training. So we'd have 4 wingers (Albrighton, Diabate, this lad and "big name") Vardy/Iheanacho as main strikers, Maddison/Okazaki for no. 10 role and Gray as a utility player to cover any of the front 4. Just a thought!

It’s interesting learning what gets deleted and what doesn’t. I couldn’t personally tell the difference between “its more like £4m and it won’t be our last signing” and “I’m sitting next to a source and he said he was at the training ground today”

I’m choosing to view today’s movement as; we swap Musa for Ghazzal. We’ve rolled the dice abit, and I think we might just come up with a double. I’m happy enough with today’s progess.
