People on this forum are great. Most have never seen our new signings play but as long as we pay £20m+ for them they are straight in the 1st team

£30 million.

that ship sailed, should have got him the same time we got Ndidi from Gent,

really dont get the negativity around Ghezzal........lets be honest we arent going to pull a mega star in the prime of their career to come here.

though I think any sort of signing would be a negative one for some of our fans at times

can remember Kante getting a bit of an underwhelming response when he signed, would rather give this guy a chance before im going to judge him

Elyounoussi was the one I thought we should have brought here. Be interested to see how he does at Southampton.

Don't think we are asking for mega stars as such, just a level or two below which I don't think this Rachid guy is. I'm surprised we haven't been more ambitious and gone for someone like Promes or Hazard, as I think both would come here with the pull of Premier League football and a very decent wage.

Hopefully, Rachid is one of two wingers arriving, as I do think we needed two wingers/attackers anyway. If not, then I hope he really does find a way to shine here, as we will desperately need him to.

Doesn't look too inspiring, however happy to make judgement when he plays.

Plenty of players just need the right fit, hopefully we are his and he exceeds expectation.

tbh i think Southampton always had the front foot with Elyounoussi for some reason with Tadic going so he knew he'd probably be more likely to play more there but who knows as you said it will be interesting to see how he gets on,

Southampton were after Promes too in Jan but got put off by the 30mil asking price, in all honesty id be after Hazard but im sure Chelsea have first dibs on him with a buy back clause. but hopefully Rachid will do well if we do buy him

Unfortunately an accurate judgement needs to made before he plays. We are trying to get rid of rubbish and deadwood that doesn’t fit in. Then we sign another. Why?

This guy is actual, unadulterated, crap. Honestly this is now becoming farcical.

Do you think many players should be drawn to the attraction of Puel?  If I were recruiting I’d keep them away from the tedious boring fool

Bascially the same as every other team bar maybe man city and Pep Guardiola then. Didn't see players desperate to sign for us and play for Claudio after winning the league. Can't imagine plahers are too bothered about playing for Mark Hughes or Roy hodgeson either.

Many of those were bought with many on here thinking they would.

But as I said was hoping for better

Another Raggy doll signing

people compare to mahrez, we was in the championship.

since then we have won the premier league and got to the quarters of the Champions league, sold out best player for 60m and even then we can’t replace him with someone half decent on paper.

Not expecting miracles, but we have just sold our best player and are the wealthiest the club has ever been, lets show a bit of intent in the Transfer market.

people will say Evans and Maddison but it could be argued them signings could’ve come a season before or at least in a positional sense.

you have to wonder if we will regret not capitalising on our current wealth and on being one of the bigger teams outside the top six with the way other new sides are spending.

I’ll be sensible and reserve judgement until I actually see him play. We have a lack of wingers so I have feeling he’s for the squad rather than a guaranteed starter

On what grounds have you made an "accurate" judgement?

On his time in the French league, how  will Monaco possibly cope with out his 2 goals and 3 assists

such a talent his being sold after a season, for a rather paltry amount

Not even a sniff from Everton or West Ham either.

I wasn’t the one making it. I’m not signing him. Mind you I wouldn’t sign him.

Do you have grounds to provide a positive judgement. The guy is shit mate.

No but i dont have any grounds to provide a negative one either. Clearly someone has made a judgement that hes not shit and i dont think we can say whether or not that judgement was accurate till we see him play. Dont get me wrong i'm not particularly enthused by this signing but as others have pointed out we could have said the same of the likes of Mahrez before we actually saw what they could do up close...

Although this signing does absolutely nothing  for me 5 million isn’t a huge amount . Sometimes you have to take a gamble he could be good he could be terrible .  I felt the same way when we signed Albrighton on a free and he’s not been too bad a signing .

We seem to be told Monaco fans don’t rate him, what do Algerians think?

Neither does the Monaco board judging by the price and the time spent there

I really hope not. Our squad is already bloated.

We should only be looking at this point for starters (like the first 3 signings we made).

I’d add Rafa, Klopp, Howe, Poch as managers players would want to play for. What I meant to say is he may actually be a reason to not come here based on what we see of him. So dour
