Just me then that is totally blinded by the you tube clips? He looks good. Obviously he's a bit of work but if Puel can tame Ben Arfa then he's capable of doing the same with Ghezzal. I think I'd rather it be a loan as we're paying the price right now of taking punts on players on vast contracts and not being able to move them on. A years loan with an agreed fee that is activated if he plays more than 25 games for us.

If this is the Mahrez replacement and we've missed out on several targets, it will be slightly frustrating. It does feel a touch desperate but he has a point to prove and I'll not judge him for at least 15 mins of his debut.

Yes, but think of the money we got for him, not that you or I will see any of it and we won’t be able to improve on that position with it.

Makes me want to cry even more after reading that lol. Man city is going to tear it up this season unless our boy ghezzal takes us to the promise land!

They would have done anyway with or without mahrez, who really is going to challenge them apart from maybe a spirited challenge from Liverpool untill sallah gets crocked.

2nd August - Sign anyone! The transfer business has been rubbish! We just need anyone in!

3rd August (with Ghezzal looking like he’s signing) - No thank you. Don’t need him. Rubbish.

Our recruitment team can’t win ?

Yes thanks I live in France... did you?

That’s good then, wasn’t having a go just genuinely interested to know how you formed your opinion.

I have not seen him at all which is why I haven’t given an opinion :)

Info: Rachid Ghezzal and Leicester almost agree tonight on a 4 year contract. Still have to settle some details. The operation is expected to return between 10 and 15 M € in Monaco. If everything is OK, the medical visit is scheduled for tomorrow”

Looks handy to me, clearly got talent. If Puel can sort out his seemingly poor mentality then we’ll have a player on our hands. Don’t see the issue if this goes through. Cheap gamble.

Looks to be a 4 year deal so might not be a cheap gamble, but not a lot we can do about it. If we make him a cult hero, all get FREE RACHID on t-shirts of Dierdrie then we've probably got the 2018/19 PFA POTY again.

Why is everyone believing themightyfin?

You don’t believe anything until Sean from Enderby confirms it

Prince Albert of Monaco just called him and confirmed it's on.

Because he is the mighty fin. Speaks for itself.

There's plenty of reason to find this signing horrifying, he's never been a regular since he's turned professional, even in 2015/16 when he had his best season at Lyon. He's either injury prone or just struggles to prove his worth. It's clutching at straws to think he'll come here and be anything different, but it's quite clear on his day he's very capable.

This is a Puel signing if ever I've seen one, hope it works out. Quite feasible we'll pay a decent amount for a poorly regarded player on a 4 year deal and then the manager who stands a chance of getting something out of him is sacked within a few months and it's millions down the shitter again.

Welcome Rachid, no pressure.

Nice comment about him

"He's not just bad on the counter he's bad all around. His decision-making especially is some of the worst around. He had 6 months in Lyon where he was good and still lives off that hype/potential even though he has been awful ever since."

Hope it's one of those signings that come off. But we dont really need another winger with bad decision making.
