I'm loathed to read too much into pre season, but it's just like last season, loads of pointless possession without ever looking like scoring, the opposition look poor but could have scored 2.

Mendy was the best player for me in the first half. Maddison looked good too and Elder did his job.

As others have said Maddison looks special . Mendys looked good and Amartey worst player for me is Iborra so slow

Only downside is the centre of midfield for me, we have too many midfielders at this club who like to keep it simple and boring, Silva will have to play a massive part this season.

Why would you expect any more of a pre-season kick around on a very hot day with at least 11 squad members not available?
