New to LCFC, what should I know?

I've decided to start following Leicester City and would like to be filled in on the current team, club history, chants, and anything else you all think I should know. Also, if someone could clear this ignorant Yank up about how Leicester is pronounced, that would be much appreciated.

Expect disappointment and frustration. 

 

We've spent almost our entire history bobbing up and down between the top two flights. 

 

We're never really boring, we're usually in either a relegation scrap or a promotion race.

 

In 15/16 we got confused. We were supposed to be relegated in 14/15, when we weren't, we realised too late we'd survived and were already trying to get ourselves promoted when we cottoned on. 

 

The damage was already done and we ended up winning the league. Nightmare. 

 

We proceeded to try and get in to a relegation scrap the next year to balance things out.

Everybody thinks their club is special but from the late 1990s to 2017 we've had a glorious and turbulent time of things, including administration, a stadium move, heartbreak, success, scandals and all sorts.

The team is filled wirh good players with a few high quality ones (Maguire, Vardy, Schmeichel). Any brilliant player we get is soon taken away from us (Mahrez, Kante.....Schlupp)

 

Most of our history consist of us bouncing up & down between  the top 2 divisions. 

 

We are a slightly above average club. Not terribly boring we don't get many column inches in the newspapers either. 

 

Gary Lineker (the opinionated fella on Twitter) is from Leicester and started his career here.

 

We don't have any rivals in the Premier League. We get hate from Tottenham Hotspur from time to time but generally we aren't thought of that often. Our nearest local game is Wolves. It used to be Stoke & West Brom but they just got relegated.

 

Many of our fans are bipolar
