Anybody saying it's pronounced les-tah are from the West Midlands or don't know the sound of their own voice.

Les-toh. Or lest-er.

Lestoh for me.

Thats the inner city , council house estates way.

Always made me laugh that northerners think we sound cockney with our  tohs and lehs, and southerners think we’re dirty northerners with our  duuucks and scuuuufs!

We've never won the FA Cup. We've reached the final 4 times, the last in 1969. Some on here actually harbour the thought that one day we'll win it.

Hi Red Sox fan, so I am guessing you are in the Boston area... I am in New Hampshire at the moment just visiting my family, away camping tomorrow night or I would def have invited you here to watch the match and told you all there is to know.. it will be a roller coaster ride!  So hold on tight!

Look up the following names: Gary Lineker, Peter Shilton, Gordon Banks, Bernie.

We usually blame Richie Wellens (or at least, we used to).

LCFC are a club with a proud history and a great fanbase, but never really amounting to anything worth mentioning until the 1990ies under Martin O'Neill (also called MON).

Leicester City were the perennial grey mice in the league, be it the top division or a division below.

Too big a club for the second division, too unimpressive for the top flight for decades.

Up until 2008, we were one of only eight teams never to be relegated to the third division in the English league system.

Also, it would be of great help if you could help spread the word that it's spelt "Premier League" and not "Premiere League"!

Oh, and call it football, not soccer. Start the re-devolution now.

P.S.: ESPN FC sucks.

I wanted a club who had some history but weren't in the Big Six, because I didn't want to be a bandwagon fan. I also didn't want to be overly worried about relegation this year, because it's much harder to follow non-Premier League outfits in the U.S.

Sounds scarily sensible- great choice and welcome!:scarf:

I've decided to start following Leicester City and would like to be filled in on the current team, club history, chants, and anything else you all think I should know. Also, if someone could clear this ignorant Yank up about how Leicester is pronounced, that would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there’s a rather long but nicely done club history that can be found on YouTube. I also suggest getting keyed in to the number of LCFC related podcasts available, as well as looking for some local USA supporters through groups like Atlanta Foxes and New York Foxes on Facebook and Instagram + the Supporters Group forum on FoxesTalk.

It’s also worth spending the $ for NBC Sports Gold, as they’ll show a large number of our matches stateside.

Mostly, just lean in and listen to the banter on FoxesTalk / Reddit and the Leicester Mercury (newspaper) website. You’ll get the feel for it. I’ve been following LCFC as a US supporter since the 2014/2015 season and I’m still learning things.

Only one game called football.

I worked out of Framingham in 2006 for a year, had a great time. Saw the college hockey team and went to Fenway park too.
