You'd think it was a 0-0 or something!
Super_horns Posted 29 September 2018 Posted 29 September 2018 Not much time for a Shearer rant !! They were probably preparing for a bit of Arsenal bashing until we scored for them.

It’s not like any of our goals were particularly memorable. A non-contentious penalty and a Slab-header from a corner. We were ok, they were shite, the only real angle is Newcastle are a shambles, with a possible side analysis in should Newcastle have had a penalty and did Maguire foul for his goal. If Maddison had been excellent in front of Southgate then maybe we would be higher up the bill but he didn’t have a great game. Really there is very little of interest in today’s game.
HighPeakFox Posted 30 September 2018 Posted 30 September 2018 Keown on Traore - 'He uses his pace to change his pace.' Right.
CosbehFox Posted 30 September 2018 Posted 30 September 2018 Keown on Sigurdsson - ‘Everton can build their future around him’ He’s 29....
Super_horns Posted 30 September 2018 Posted 30 September 2018 Seems like Shearer wasn't on - probably explains why you were last then. Had he been the game would have got top 3/4 billings!
SheppyFox Posted 30 September 2018 Posted 30 September 2018 I’d love if I’d someone booted a ball right in Keowns face.

Corky Posted 6 October 2018 Posted 6 October 2018 Last when we win, third when we lose. Lineker's anti-Leicester bias again.
Super_horns Posted 6 October 2018 Posted 6 October 2018 Maybe that is why we lost - thought we were playing at Bournemouth?!
Jimothy Posted 6 October 2018 Posted 6 October 2018 I wish pundits could separate situations. Ian Wright was just talking about Ralls red card after Warnock bitched about it. Wright is right that it was a red, but Warnock is right about the other two parts of the incident. The spurs players should not be surrounding the ref and Mike Dean should have booked a couple and he should report it (he won't). And Kane can't smash into Ralls aggressively like he did, it's a yellow and arguably a red if you're being tough. Wright defended Spurs over these seemingly because Ralls committed a bad tackle, but that's not an excuse for Spurs commit their own offenses.

I'm off to bed!
Super_horns Posted 10 November 2018 Posted 10 November 2018 Basically because they would have won 2-0 had the linesmen not ruled a good goal for them .. All fair enough BUT we were also denied a clear cut penalty as Mark Hughes admitted at 1-0 down which if we'd scored woIuld have changed the game ... All put into perspective though by events with you guys ..
Corky Posted 10 November 2018 Posted 10 November 2018 We're in mid-November and Neil Warnock hasn't annoyed me yet. What is going on?
The Doctor Posted 10 November 2018 Posted 10 November 2018 Christ, how good is Bambas pokerface to get away with claiming he didn't take his shirt off?

I don't think he is that fussed about Cardiff doing badly or not as he knows they will still probably love him for getting them promoted .. And worse case he gets a pay off for being sacked !
Super_horns Posted 10 November 2018 Posted 10 November 2018 Well the Southampton bloke did move his head away from the ball to avoid contact so can see why an inexperienced official might think he was involved in the play . Wasn't quite the clear cut error I was expecting which our non penalty was ..
